Salman Khan’s Kick has exceeded expectations, as the film has collected around 27-29 crore on its first day at the box office. A few centres have under-performed due to various factors like ticket prices, Ramadan period, as well as rains that have lessened but continued to impact business in circuits like Mumbai, Mysore, Tamilnadu and Kerala.
Approx first day figures: Kick has collected around 5.7 crore from Delhi/UP, 2.8 crore from East Punjab, 1 crore from C.I, 1.43 cr from C.P Berar, Rajasthan contributed 1.89 crore, Andhra/Nizam 1.7 cr, Mysore circuit is coming around 1.5 cr. The biggest circuit of them all, Mumbai, has been a mixed bag. Collections from a few centres from Gujarat were much lower than Dhoom 3 and Chennai Express. Estimates suggest the film has collected around 8 cr in Mumbai.
Business from the above mentioned circuits total to Rs 24 cr, the other smaller territories should collect between 3.5-4 cr taking the first day to somewhere between 27-29 crore net.
For a film released on a normal working Friday, on around 5% higher number of screens as compared to Salman’s last release Jai Ho, with Ramadan impacting business in muslim-dominated areas, the first day business of Kick is outstanding – probably better than the start that Dhoom 3 took in December last year.

Yesterday the way you spouted about the occupancy of Kick, I thought 40 cr are on the cards and every record, including the first day collection, is going to be broken. But today you just took a U-turn. Moreover you are defending shamelessly the collection and giving some stupid reasons like pre-ramdan, Friday bla bla bla. I have never seen you being so biased for any actor like this. And at the end the of this article you crossed all the limits by saying that it has outpaced “Dhoom3” in terms of collection. Really?? If your answer is yes, then I will request you to shut this website and open a PR agency to promote the films of Salman. That will be a better option. A film which has been released on 4500+ screens with 20% hike in ticket price as compared to Dhoom 3, do you really think that collections of kick are outstanding?? Put your biasedness aside and then reply. You have mentioned 100 points justifying the collections of kick, that why it is low than expected. Now I’ll also mention few points, why it should have been crossed 30 cr or even the first day collection of Dhoom 3 :
1. Eid period, which was a cakewalk for Salman. All his blockbusters (post-wanted era) came in this period only.
2. Big banner with a screenplay of CB.
3. The buzz generated for kick.
4. His last film underperformed.
Apart from this, many other reasons are there, which clearly indicates that the collections of kick are lower than expected and can’t be justified in anyway. Collection of many movies like Krrish3, Dhoom 3, CE on weekdays are more than this. And how can you even compare this collections with outstanding Dhoom 3?? Did you forget that at time of D3 release, many parts of north India were covered with fog and mist?? Again I’m telling don’t lose your freebies by posting such posts. Its not going to help you nor your Salman in anyway. Thanks.

Ek Tha Tiger collected 32.93 cr on its 1st day with 3300 screens. That opening day was also Pre-Eid with lesser screens. But collection was High as compared to KICK opening day collection which is 26.40 cr with 4000+ screens.
How u can gaga over KICK like its a 1st movie ever in the history which is performing unimaginably. U r portraying a wrong picture to ur readers. That will spread lots of negativity about ur repo.

And praising Salman and representing Salman like a Bhagwan. Lolzzz Some morons said Baap of all actors balah balah. And look what happen More Screens, High Ticket Price, Remake of a Blockbuster Movies, Item Song + Yo yo Honey Singh, All Masalas but still failed to beat even His own Highest opening day record.
Forget about SRK, Aamir, forget about CE, Dhoom-3 or 3-Idiot records. 1st surpass urs own records Bajrangi Bhaijan.

@shroti, very good comments made by you.. Even, I also felt the same thing.. From 2-3 days back indicine is bragging only kick kick and kick.. And look at the last comment in which he shamelessly calling its opening is better than dhoom3.. Let me remind him that if there was no cold in northern part of the country during dhoom3 release then dhoom3 might have collected 40 crs on opening day without any holiday.. And ramadan is not a big issue like pre diwali as muslim population is just 14% in the country as compared to 80% population to that of hindus.. So ramadan effect is nothing in front of pre diwali and movies like ek villain and hskd are the proof of this.. Anyway i feel kick will be surely entertaining movie for sure and will watch it on monday.. My best wishes to salman and his fans to set some solid benchmark so that it would be a challenge to surpass by the future biggies like bang bang, hny and pk..

Fantastic film.
Well. Here comes my review. Watched the kick last night. It was a entertainer. Though i was expecting more after the fantastic trailer. First half is okayish few scene create laughter while some scene are far streached, the Love story was half baked as screenplay is not upto the mark. It looks they were in hurry. Second half is superb. The introduction of nawaz, Devil-randeep chase, the backstory of devi to turn devil was well made. Action scene are great especiall the bus chasing scene. Climax is superb and the second half make the movie to a Paisa Vasool movie. Salman shines in the film, he was in his element and enjoyed his character well. He is simply terrific especially loved him as devil, jack surprised with his act, she was good. And stunning in her solo dance in Jumme ki raat, so sexy. Randeep was too good his one liners and conversation with Devil was too good. Nawaz is outstanding, he played his character so much ease, his acting is terrific. Happy that Sajid used both Randeep and nawaz well.
Now haters r pretending like they don’t know the difference between holiday release and non holiday release.
Sometimes fan, haters and even trade pundits get over orgasimc over a movie. It is huge task for an actor to break record with every outing. Sill 26 cr. on working day is huge. Only Dhoom 3 did more than that. It is good practice that none of trade pundit or production house inflate the collection. It is universal that Kick did 26 cr. more or less.
On my point of view. I did watch kick today. Now i dont think it will trend well. Most collection (80%) will come from first week. Release or not, it will nose dive from second week. I think, finally kick will gross 170 cr. on the same range to Krrish and yjhd. Would be happy to prove wrong.
Sajid’s direction is decent. He used Salman charm, Randeep and Nawaz talent very well but not able to give tight screenplay. Background music is fine but could have been better considering the Action movie, music is decent too. Mithun,sanjay mishra,saurbh shukla supports well. Positives:1. Salman,Salman,Salman he is terrific 2. Randeep and Nawaz performance 3. Jackline beautiful presence and her chemistry with Salman 4.Exotic location and huge production value. 5. Action was great and some comedy scenes 6. Terrific climax Negatives:-1.Screenplay is not upto the mark 2.Music could have been better 3. Lack of originality as it i cocktail of dhoom series 4.the action scenes which we have scene in trailer not executed well it fail to give expected thrill even the famous train scene fail to excite. So overall kick is a good entertainer. It is better than Ready,dabangg2,bodyguard, jai ho but not good as Dabangg and wanted. I will give 3.25/5. My advice keep your expectation not too high and enjoy the movie.
As far as box office this will be biggest grosser of Salman and will easily touch 200cr, it also have chance to cross 250 or even D3 mark as public response is positive. Salman fans will gaga over and enjoy the film too much and they even give it repeat watch. I seen the movie on 9:30 pm show in multiplex and it was housefull. Important note there is no kissing scene of salman as there were rumour as Salman break his rule and kiss first time on screen. Family audience,Salman fans and kids make this film one of the biggest blockbuster of all time. Its Salman 10th bb and i am sure will beat CE 208 cr mark and can touch and cross d3 261cr(hindi) mark. Final word-Eid aa rahi h and he will Take Eidi of this year along with last year. Pretty happy as Both Jai ho and Kick turned out better films of Salmans 2011,2012 all releases. So guys give it a chance you won’t be disappointed but keep you expectation not high if you aren’t a Salman’s fan.

The movie is about to begin.” The kid asked back “Porn movie? Yeh Porn Movie Kaisay Hote Mommmy?” My GF burst into laughing. The patents were out of words. And people like mohar basu ,raja sen etc are biased critics. As for taran, he gives 4.5 to all good movies. Again,TOI gives 4-4.5 to most of the movies.but for kick, he has given 3.5 only.
I am not telling all to follow the critics, i gave the ratings of critics whom i follow. I don’t follow raja sen who bashes 3 idiots and znmd and many more quality movies.

What figures to be belived? Too much confused. But one clear thing is that none can get access to the BO collections for such a wide release except for the distributors. Reports are still in process. Let’s wait & see…..
