Karan Johar has always been known to over-praise films of friends from the industry and Kites is no different.
The director of My Name Is Khan extended his New York trip to attend the premier of the Hrithik Roshan starrer at the Times Square in New York and Johar had only good things to say about the film “KITES is OUTSTANDING!!! Hrithik is beyond brilliant!!! Barbara lights up the screens and connects on all levels…. its a WINNER!!!” said Karan on his Twitter page.
Well, every single review of Kites so far including the one from the New York critic (who rated it 3.5) has been overwhelmingly positive. With a hattrick behind them (Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish).. Kites looks like yet another winner for the Roshan’s!

With the Roshan’s behind it, can’t see it being anything other than a runaway success! Wud hv preferred it to have a B/Wood actress in the main lead tho – but, I guess the story line demands it.
@ indicine: whats ur take ?? can it break 3 idiots record in india for 1st weekend and overall biz . i dont think it will be able to beat those records . but i expect first weekend to be around 35 crores

the movie has not all been hyped forget eing overhyped the publicity is poor music is pathetic and dated the use of suitar in todays date is unfathomable ..the strains of title song have been lifted from ryan farish
