The ‘Queen’ of Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut recently had another moment to celebrate. The actress, who has been receiving a lot of accolades for her recent work in movies like ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ and ‘Queen’, was awarded by the government of Himachal Pradesh for her contribution to Indian cinema.
The actress was also invited to be the guest of honour on the occasion of Himachal Day on 15th of April by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, although since Kangana is busy giving the finishing touches to her upcoming film ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, she couldn’t be at the event.
Her parents though were there to collect the award on their daughter’s behalf. It is well known that the actress ran away from her house in Himachal when she was 17 to make her name in Bollywood.
Now that she has achieved a lot of success, it was time that she got her due of love and respect from her home. Kangana will be soon seen again on the big screen when ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ releases on 22nd May.
