Salman Khan’s Jai Ho has finally crossed the 100 crore mark at the domestic box office, but unlike the superstar’s last few releases, the Sohail Khan directed remake has crawled into the 100 crore club in 10 days.
In comparison, Salman’s last release Dabangg 2 achieved the milestone in 6 days, while his 2012 Eid release Ek Tha Tiger continues to be his fastest film to 100 crore (5 days).
The film showed decent hike in business on its second Saturday and Sunday, but not enough to make a big enough difference to recover costs for Eros.
In India, Jai Ho will finish with lifetime collections of around 110 – 112 crore, distributors share of 63 approx. The film will add around 35-40 crore from the overseas markets, giving it a share of 15-17 crore. By the end of its run, Eros would have recovered around 80% of its investment.

i think people are here not understanding the term “wom” in business or trade sense, here wom relates for a movie which help to audience to come into theaters, no doubt Jai Ho was a good film but you can see on the reviews of many fans is “movie could have been better,direction is poor, music was not good, ott action scenes etc.’ so when you going to define a movie these so called minuses affect the audience to watch into theaters because present time we have so many sources to watch movie without going to theater and the wom Jai ho got by worked for people who not watched movies is “koi nahi ghar par hi dekh lenge”. so this make to restrict the business of Jai Ho, so the way movie is trended is the sign of negative wom for trade but generally speaking movie got positive wom but couldn’t capitalized for better collection. Still jai ho is a under performer but not a Flop, its verdict would be-Above average/Semi Hit.
I can’t even imagine how luntatic some people are to say that Jai Ho didn’t beat the collection of Agneepath, Barfi, Ra.One etc etc. First of all, Jai Ho hasn’t fisnished its run yet. Secondly, Did Agneepath, Barfi, Ra.One etc beat the collection of Ready? Why do they like to single out only a film?
Some questions to the people trying to drag down the business of Jai Ho,
Even when Jai Ho flops (which won’t happen now), who will be affected badly?
1) The producers of Jai Ho have already made a fat profit.
2) Salman’s Stardom will no way be affected by this. When Ra.One was proven to be a debacle, did SRK’s stardom fall to the level of Bobby Deol, Nahin Na? Because they are established stars.
3) It won’t also be a fact that the distributors will pay less amount for his upcoming films. And you know the reason.
Hence, why are trying to make the distributors and the exhibitors (that earn their livelihood by that means) face their end in red? What have they done to you? Ask yourself!
Besides, it’s time for SRK Fans stopped deliberately bashing Salman Khan now. Suhana Khan is a Salman Khan fan. Because of her constant emphasising, SRK family watched Salman’s last two films (Dabangg 2 and Jai Ho) in their home. What do you say now, SRKians?? Suhana is a brat????
All the best to Jai Ho and wish the distributors and exhibitors do not lose their money. And I am pretty confident that Jai Ho will emerge as a clean HIT!
When human beings find continuous success, they, naturally, tend to take things lightly. As a human being, Salman Khan is also prone to that weakness. Though, with no doubt, Jai Ho is a great film, it didn’t do business as much as it had been expected from it. There are many reasons for it. It has alerted Salman Khan to take the audiences’ taste seriously, to do something and not to do something. He will surely be precautionary from these days onwards. The fortunate thing is he has got the chance to improve his work without facing a great failure.
In Salman Khan last few films except for ETT, though story may be different but screenplays, music and actions have become repetitive and predictable. Frankly, I prefer and thoroughly enjoyed the kind of action he did in ETT. Besides, the action he did in Tum Ko Na Bhool Payengi was simply superb without the help of international action directors. He should stick to realistic action like the actions in those films rather doing south types. I think even single screen audiences are ready to accept the Sleek-looking-action like in ETT, Don 2, Dhoom 3, or Krrishh.
His next film is KICK on Eid! It is being directed by Sajid Nadiawala. Since it is first film as a director, he is making the movie on lavish scale with huge budget, with international stunt directors, high production values. Besides Salman Khan, it has some great castings like Nawazuddin, Randeep Hooda, Jaquelin, Mithun. And the screenplay of the original KICK was re-written and improvised by Chetan Bhagat only keeping the theme of the original movie (i.e. which also happens to be in Dhoom 3 formate Cop Vs Theif or Robber. But the good thing here is the lead actor steals from the rich to serve a noble cause and for orphans). Ravi Teja’s Kick was also thoroughly entertaining so much so that I have already watched it five times. I am sure it will click with the audience big time. Hence, expect the unexpected surprise from KICK.
Next, Salman has a line-up of movies with Sooraj Barjatya, Anees Bazmee, Kabir Khan, Shimit Amin and Prabhu Deva as well. Besides, KJo is also desperate to do a movie with him in a project to be directed by Rohit Shetty. Salman should take that up as well. Hence, Salman will keep ruling!!
And don’t forget to go and watch Jai Ho with family. It’s a great movie though not the perfect one.

Is #JaiHo A Flop? Its Weekend Collection was more than the collections of any other Amir or SRK film but for CE & Dhoom 3.
Jai Ho- 1) [Bad Timing of Release after X’Mas and New Year] An out and out non-festive and non-holiday release, 2) Widest Release, 3) Ticket Price 30%-40% lower than CE and Dhoom 3, 4) Some Section of People are Boycotting it. 5) Low-ranking casts but for Salman and film-makers, 6) A good qaulity-pirated copy of Jai Ho was leaked online and anti-Salman people encouraged others to watch the pirated movie. According to Hindustan Times, it lost 8-10 crores because of that.
CE and Dhoom3- 1) [Good Timing of Releses] Festive Releases, 2) Released in lesser screens, 3) Ticket Price: 40% Higher, 4) No one boycotted them, 5) High-Ranking Casts and Film-Makers.
Out of the above five-facts, only no. 2 is in favor of Jai Ho, while other four are against. And no.1, no.3, no.4. no.5 are in favor of CE and Dhoom 3, while only no.2 is against them.

i watched Jai ho last Wednesday, and i found the movie good, salman was rocking in the movie and Concept was effective indeed, but direction was strictly average.Salman- Daisy pair doesn’t excited so the music big letdown but still the movie deserves a watch.
i am surprised from first day of it release there was a competition in media to declare Jai ho a flop/under performer. Though it is under performed but still collection is good as lifetime is looking to 110-115cr. as a non-holiday in Jan period its good but because it star None Other than Salman i was expecting it collection around 150-160cr, so it falls short but Media created vibe against the movie with homogeneous expectation from a Normal weekend release, the biggest impractical expectation was to beat Dhoom3 weekend record in 3 days In jan month without any holiday. nevertheless Kick will be great and Salman will again come back on his record breaking tracks. Mr Rizwan,I am not a fan of salman khan but let me correct you,movie is not flop,with overseas collection,satelite rights,music and other revenues they recover money,generally there is agreement with producers too.The way its going to hurt salman is ,he is a huge star compare to many others the gap will get decrease.With the similar collection like Ra one ,jthj,housefull,agneepath will be declered hits .But remember the other stars needs many other factors but salman had nothing,stupid director,unknown herione but still he can pull the crowd.
