Salman Khan’s Jai Ho has finally crossed the 100 crore mark at the domestic box office, but unlike the superstar’s last few releases, the Sohail Khan directed remake has crawled into the 100 crore club in 10 days.
In comparison, Salman’s last release Dabangg 2 achieved the milestone in 6 days, while his 2012 Eid release Ek Tha Tiger continues to be his fastest film to 100 crore (5 days).
The film showed decent hike in business on its second Saturday and Sunday, but not enough to make a big enough difference to recover costs for Eros.
In India, Jai Ho will finish with lifetime collections of around 110 – 112 crore, distributors share of 63 approx. The film will add around 35-40 crore from the overseas markets, giving it a share of 15-17 crore. By the end of its run, Eros would have recovered around 80% of its investment.

I wonder why Bhai fans are so disappointed with the collections? Infact they have experienced worse than this before. Before Wanted, Salman’s films like Main Aur Mrs. Khanna, London Dreams, Salaam-e-Ishq, Yuvvraaj etc. were flopping left, right and center. I am sure it is deja vu for all Bhai Fans. FLOP HO!!!!
Don’t know what was so expensive in film,that its budget got so high…It was all due to salman’s brand power that eros sold it for such high prices…

@Babaji, the budget wasn’t high, in fact it was lower than every big star film in recent times. Production cost was less than 45 crore. But it was sold to Eros at a much higher price. Salman and Sohail made a profit of 90-95 crore on Jai Ho. Eros will lose about 20 crore.

I think even Race 2 did better than jai ho because Race 2 first day was 14.5cr and lifetime 102crs whereas Jai ho first day was17.5crs..
This means jai ho failed to pick up…

Jai ho sunk at the boxoffice..its a setbck for sohail khans words..he told that it ll shattr al bxoffce records nd becme salman khan’s highest grosser…sad to see his condtn..bt hope he learnt a lesson frm dis debacle named JAI HO:)

how do you declare the verdict of a movie?
I guess it should be on the total budget of the movie and adding promotions.
If that is so, why is it that in the caseof Jai Ho you are mentioning time and again about the the total amount it was sold to distributors and trying to base your verdict on that?
while all this time, it was only the budget + promotions that was taken in to account for other films.
Ra.One should be a flop as its budget was 175 crore and it earned 120 crore in India
SRK gave a major flop. Shows that Deepika and Rohit Shetty are the reason of CE success
@Indicine don’t you think the prediction is quite earlier? as no other site given any verdict till now,this week is no big release and it will collect 10-15 crores as well so it will be hit also in EROS website they mention 103crores earn in 10-days so from where you bring these figures?
