After 2 good days at the box office for both films, Son Of Sardar and Jab Tak Hai Jaan remained steady on Day 3. Both films benefitted from the ‘Bhai Dooj’ holiday in some parts of the country.
Son Of Sardar is rock-steady at mass centres like Punjab, Delhi/Uttar Pradesh, Central Province and Berar, Central India, Rajasthan and Bihar. In the Mumbai circuit, there was a noticeable drop at multiplexes, while other parts of Maharashtra and Gujarat (which also comes under Mumbai) have been outstanding. Jab Tak Hai Jaan continues it’s good run all over. Like on the first two days, the Shahrukh Khan starrer is extraordinary in Bangalore, Mangalore (which comes under the Mysore circuit). It’s also running to packed houses in Kolkata and rest of West Bengal. JTHJ is also the first choice at premium multiplexes. Box office collections Day 3: Rs 14-15 crores (early estimate)

jab tak hai jaan would not have collected this much if it was not for late yash ji because of its huge star cast this movie was audience’s first and when yash ji told media that this was his list film this movie got more hyped and when the late yash ji passed away this movie got even more hyped and got sympathy over son of sardar so stop saying that it was sharukh khan that got all the collection. everything was good on performance wise i liked srk and anushka sharma performance but didn’t like katrina’s performance at all and as expected from yash ji his direction was really top notch. the star cast was huge in this movie srk+katrina+anushka+late yash ji+ rehman and gulzar there were load if talent in this movie and cause of all this movie got soo much hyped so its wrong to say that the collection is better then son of sardar.
JTHJ’s budget is 40 crore but as the director, yash raj and the cast was already very famous they didn’t had to spend much on the promotion of the film but son of the sardaar had a budget of 30 crore which is less compared to JTHJ’s budget but as the film’s director, producer and the competition with JTHJ was not doing well for the movie, it had to spend a lot on the promotion and counting the promotion it’s budget would be about 80 crore.
JTHJ has already recoverd it’s cost and is certianly gonna cross the 100 crore mark and might also cross 150 crore mark so it’s certainly successful but SOS might not even cross the 80 crore mark so let’s see.

JTHJ first 3 days Collections : ( Released in 2500 screens. Competition from SOS )
BOI – 45 crs – Average per Screen – 1.80 Lakhs
Taran Adarsh – 49.25 crs – Average per Screen – 1.97 Lakhs.
If we see average per screen, JTHJ is big opener than ETT. If film would have got a Solo Release than Records of ETT would be broken for sure.
This is only a real comparision for those who are upset with JTHJ collections, actually film did wonderfully great being a romantic film.
So please stop comparing both films, ETT had lot of advantages, JTHJ had more disadvantages.

sos ultimate winner, 4th day collection difference only 1cr between sos and jthj. Analyst says sos surpasses jthj on 5th day.sos collects 9cr and jthj 10cr. Sos collects this amount with about 700 less no. of screens, this shows indian viewers likes sos. AJAY rocks.
So according to all of u guys, I wanna say I am a Bangladeshi & in Bangladesh people who watch hindi films(not in theater,as hindi flims aren’t shown in bangladesh) they treat SRK real king of bollywood for his extraordinary acting skill.whatever screens & grossing, people will remind the story & acting.I watched salman’s ETT,BODYGUARD,Dabang these all are actions nothing about to take in mind.Finally I watched JTHJ it makes to feel romance in u but SOS has no emotions to carry it, would be fail to be memorable one.So go for JTHJ & enjoy it heartily not physically.

where as masala, mindless, action films runs in exteriors(multiplexes) and interiors(single screens and villages)
another example is TALAASH is a exteriors(multiplexes) kind of film.

SOS is good and JTHJ is just OK but cant really compare the movies..but having seen equal crowds at the theatre for both the movies, i believe devgn has grown both as an actor and producer. i feel both movies are equally good,but jthj lacks story but has a good ending.. sos scores on its high dose of comedy… SOS rocked and JTHJ lost considering the yAsh Raj value it thought would pull the crowd…
