Released on 2600 screens, Jab Tak Hai Jaan has emerged as the clear winner in the Diwali battle – across all territories in India. But not by a huge margin, considering the fact that it’s screen count was 25-30% higher than Son Of Sardar.
The Shahrukh Khan – Katrina Kaif starrer had a dream start in West Bengal and Mysore, both territories were SRK films have consistently been record-breaking in the recent past. The opening across all other territories was good to excellent.
Early estimates suggest, the first day collections of Jab Tak Hai Jaan will be around 15-16 crores nett, which is in the same range as the opening day business of last year’s Diwali release Ra One (solo release, if smaller films like Damadamm and Tell Me O Khudda are not counted).
The critics have praised the film, as Jab Tak Hai Jaan has scored 64/100 on our review scale. The response on social networking sites varies from highly positive to extremely negative, which is the case with almost every SRK release.
Overall, it’s a good solid start at the box office on Day 1 for JTHJ. Last year’s Ra One put up record numbers on the second day. Can Jab Tak Hai Jaan put up similar numbers? Stay tuned for all the box office updates and comparisons.

I dont know how people rate the movie but in my opinion jthj is really a masterpiece and i want to mention one more thing that u cant compare shahrukh to anyone coz there is no comparision for a man who is simply ruling bollywood for past two decades and shahrukh is the man who has won 148 awards in all.
Shahrukh is best and will always remain on that height so plz dont compare him and his movies to anyone and anything.
Whatever he touches it becomes gold.

iam from south but a good of bollywood films and love to watch ur movies regularly. don’t know how u compare among actors. but i personally feel that SRK is the best B’Town actor. And i think Hrithik comes next to him. Stars like salman’s and aamir’s films so far were hits because of story and action. but when it comes to SRK he is the best actor in B’Town who could make people feel love cry through his acting. for a person to act in roles like My name is khan is not that much easy and salman and aamir and even other actors from north and south could possibly not reach him in acting(expect kamal haasan and amitabh in some kind of roles). I saw don versions of both Amitabh and SRK and i felt that SRK has more perfectly expressed the very negative shades of the character in every moment than Amitabh. i don’t mean to critisize Amitabh but i feel so. this u B’Town folks may not accept but i can assure that most of the foreigners if you show them the both versions they would surely turn to SRK than Amitabh sir. Because i feel the westeners have better taste than us indians except that they don’t have our culture.u know why the B’town films rock the indian film industry because they are in hindi and u have a very goodd taste of family and love films where in south we have more mass entertainers and comedy flicks than u. wanted is not as good as its telugu version pokiri and the fighting scenes are not match to salman when compared to mahesh babu. surya has acted much better than aamir in ghajini. and akshay’s acting in rowdy rathore is not matching to raviteja in its original telugu flick ‘vikramaarkudu’. ravi teja has delivered much comedy epressions as a theif and action as a police officer than akshay despite of body. if u want mass or comedy flicks watch south indian movies if u want family and love flicks stick to ur B’Town movies. hrithik has proved his acting talent in movies like koi milgaya and lakshya. aamir’s films make people think about society. salmanvcould make action movies. SRK can act in any kind of roles. that’s why he is the most famous indian actor in abroad than any other. But u fellow fans i say u must stop critisizing about other actors’ movies whether it’s SRK or Salman or Aamir so badly even though their films rock theartres. net time post a pure review about how u felt watching a movie and stop posting negatively if u are anti-fan of that actor. in south we have much good mass and comedy films as well as actors than in B’Town but when it comes to love and family films it’s only SRK who could deliver such master pieces through his very natural and perfect acting. stop saying that he overacts in films. feel proud that u have Amitabh SRK.
