Jab Tak Hai Jaan First Day Box Office Collections

Released on 2600 screens, Jab Tak Hai Jaan has emerged as the clear winner in the Diwali battle – across all territories in India. But not by a huge margin, considering the fact that it’s screen count was 25-30% higher than Son Of Sardar.

The Shahrukh Khan – Katrina Kaif starrer had a dream start in West Bengal and Mysore, both territories were SRK films have consistently been record-breaking in the recent past. The opening across all other territories was good to excellent.

Early estimates suggest, the first day collections of Jab Tak Hai Jaan will be around 15-16 crores nett, which is in the same range as the opening day business of last year’s Diwali release Ra One (solo release, if smaller films like Damadamm and Tell Me O Khudda are not counted).

The critics have praised the film, as Jab Tak Hai Jaan has scored 64/100 on our review scale. The response on social networking sites varies from highly positive to extremely negative, which is the case with almost every SRK release.

Overall, it’s a good solid start at the box office on Day 1 for JTHJ. Last year’s Ra One put up record numbers on the second day. Can Jab Tak Hai Jaan put up similar numbers? Stay tuned for all the box office updates and comparisons.

  • bakwaas movie.. people are rating it high bcz of the sympathy factor ..who will criticise some1 after death.. but truly speaking its most boring movie ever made

  • Its realy unfair to compare JAB tak HAI jaan with ett ,.. ETT was a solo realese unlike jthj ,… it had much more screens than JTHJ , and the prize of the tickets were higher than JTHJ ,… Also it had full holyday where JTHJ is affected by diwali puja ,… ETT had no big compititor like JTHJ which clashed with SOS … How can you compare both film with same scale ….

  • Using your first day estimates of 8 – 9 crores for Son of Sardar, Jab Tak Hai Jaan’s first day collection was 70 – 100% more than Son of Sardar. That is almost double of what Son of Sardar made. How is that not a huge margin?

  • im a huge srk fan but didnt had much expectation from jab tak hai jaan coz i didnt liked veer zara(except last 30 mins), but really liked jab tak hai jaan like komal nahta said its a emotional blockbuster. After a long time watched a entertaining movie with some sense. If anyone is luking in the line of DDLG den u wont like much but one sit in the theatre expecting a nice movie den it will exceed all ur expectation

  • Isn’t the number great considering it had stiff competition from SOS? Last year with more screens & less competition, Ra.One earned same amount. Great start for Jthj. Wednesday will come in around 22-24 crores.

  • being a small srk fan I was slightly disappointed by the movie…it is a decent one time watch only.
Only a must watch for srk fans like me. Non srk fans can give a miss to this one

  • ajay i m ur huge fan . i very glad u stand your ground / and took those YRF SRK BULLYS .EVEN your film SOS dosent do well but u r 100 percent better actor srk or any other khan for that matter.

  • I don’t know why some people come to the blog and write movie is bakwass without even watching it just because they don,t like a particular star. Please given an arguement why you don’t like the movie, just saying bakwass, money waster will not convine anyone.

  • just watched jthj here in london. all i can say about the film is that the first half is boring and the second half is good. overall the movie is average to good. actually i was little disappointed by the movie

  • Loved it watched it in London. Not a huge bollywood fan, but enjoyed this it’s actually touching and acting is top notch by all 31

  • Jab tak hai jaan is wonderful movie and it’s box office collection is not compared to ek ta tiger bcz ett is release solo movie but jthj is clashed with sos so it’s collection is decreased and also ett release on ed and 3000 theatres but jthj release on diwali soit can’t earn high rate of collection and also salman khan is played with jthj movie box office to clash jthj and sor so hd cheated to maintain his mass and pick his biggest release of the ett collection and also srk is real king and sallu is rema’king’

  • I dnt trust U indicine i trust komal nahta in Zetc Tv Ur review was also incorrect did u see the Zetc tv review Komal Nahta guys he said this film is Super Duper blockbuster and this film has a lot of plus point even he said if we list the plus of this film the programm will be go long and Performance of 3 Actor is Outstanding Specialy Shah Rukh Khan he said

    Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network

The collections of Jab Tak Hai Jaan and in CI and Rajasthan have come in lower than Ra.One released last Diwali. The opening day collections in CI and Rajasthan for Jab Tak hain Jaan and Ra.One are as follows.

    CI –

Jab Tak Hai Jaan – 33 lakhs

    Ra.One – 37 lakhs

Jab Tak Hain Jaan – 56 lakhs

    Ra.One – 72 lakhs

  • I don’t think so that today will be huge collection at box office many says movie is boring some says you can watch one time, so hardly a chance to cross 100-crores in India.

  • Srk fans have now started to talk about competition factor haha i knew JTHJ wont even come close to Agneepath leave ETT. Movie is a big let down. Music is weakest part. How srk joins army ( which has one of the toughest interviews and physical) is non sense . Yash Chopra movies only glorify non resident indians…very weak script. It wont cross ETT. And SOS will not cross rowdy rathore

  • In an era of silly romcoms and
even sillier acting, Jab Tak Hai
Jaan takes us back to the golden
90s of epic romantic sagas. It

  • i am salman fan. I watched jthj film yesterday i m not liked it much it was so streched srk and kat acting is disspointing.they r only kissing each other.anushka sharma’s acting is mindblowing she steal the show her role can be compared to jab we met’s geet character. I dont think it can become blockbuster.similar collections as ra.one did. watch it for anushka and yash ji
