There has always been a debate over the impact that banners like Yash Raj Films and Dharma Productions have had on Shah Rukh Khan’s career.
While a lot of people believe it’s Shah Rukh who has single-handedly made YRF and Dharma the banners that they are today, others argue SRK wouldn’t have become a top actor and more importantly an iconic romantic hero without directors like Yash Chopra, Aditya Chopra and Karan Johar.
In an interview with Filmfare, Shah Rukh was asked if he owes his success to the Chopras and Karan.
Crediting the directors of films like Darr, Baazigar, DDLJ, Karan Arjun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and many more, SRK said ”Adi and Karan know me better as an actor. I believe in them and they believe in me and that is 90 percent of the battle won. There’s a comfort zone. I work equally hard as an actor with every one else. I give every role my best shot”
“But yes, as far as commercial success is concerned, I’m a star because of them since they made me a huge star. It’s thanks to Karan, Adi, Yash Chopra, Abbas-Mustan and Rakesh Roshan that I’m called a superstar”

@Meera, neither i am srk hater. I loved his acting and films like swadesh, VZ,KHNH, CDI and many others. He is also great actor but aamir has given many classics and u cant deny that. What do u not like his off screen persona is ur personal opinion, but dont bring it here when we only talk about his work. I dont want to say anything against srk becuase i respect him equally and it is very difficult to be a superstar from outsider and he did that so i salute him for his hard work and his talent. But your comments are very harsh and hateful against aamir who is also a legend. I rest my case here.
@Meera, sorry if some aamir fans abused u. But that is their own standard. We should not fall in to their standard. I agree that all the actors have hypocrite and abusive fans but we should not react and just ignore them.
@MS Joshi–You seem to be a very sensible person. Kudos to you. I try to be sensible and not ‘abuse’ but I love SRK way too much and not a neutral person like you (for which I think you are admirable). SRK has given me so much happy moments in terms of quality time since I was a child that it seems bad to me to be silent when others abuse SRK. But trust me I won’t stoop as low as Aamir did when he said his dog’s name is Shahrukh. Thanks for your advice and may God bless you for your good-heartedness.

So i agree that when srk is bashed, then u must react and nothing wrong with that. But regarding aamir’s dog statement, for the kind information, he didnt mean to abuse srk rather he just made it as a joke just like srk also joked about aamir many times in award shows. But, once he realized that it hurt srk and his family, he suddenly appologized him after that. Since then, they never had any fight and now they are in good terms and very cordial to each other.
