IIFA Awards 2015 Nominations

The nominations for the 16th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2015 are out! 2 States has received the most number of IIFA Nominations (9), followed by Vishal Bhardwaj’s critically acclaimed ‘Haider’ which was received 8 nominations. The other two popular films of 2015 – Rajkumar Hirani’s PK and Vikas Bahl’s Queen have received six and five nominations respectively.

Three major superstars starting with Shahrukh Khan for Happy New Year, Aamir Khan for PK and Hrithik Roshan for Bang Bang have been nominated in the Best Actor category. Akshay Kumar (Holiday) and Salman Khan (Kick) miss out. Shahid Kapoor, the leading contender to win the trophy, has been nominated along with Randeep Hooda for Highway and Arjun Kapoor for 2 States!

Almost every popular female actor, except Katrina Kaif have received Best Actress nominations. Deepika Padukone has been nominated with Kangana Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Rani Mukherji and Alia Bhatt.

For the Best Picture category – PK , Queen, 2 States, Haider, Highway and National Award winning film Mary Kom will be fighting it out for the IIFA Award.
