Ashutosh Gowariker’s ambitious magnum-opus ‘Mohenjo Daro’, which was scheduled to go on floors next month, has been delayed because of Hrithik Roshan’s shoulder injury.
The actor injured his shoulder while working out in the gym for his upcoming film. His doctors have advised complete six-weeks, which has led to a 6-week delay in the shooting schedule.
The producer of the film Sunita Gowariker confirmed the news to Mumbai Mirror
“Yes, it is true that we have postponed the shoot of Mohenjo Daro. Both Ashutosh and I wanted Hrithik to recuperate fully before beginning the film since we plan to start with action sequences. Now we will start shooting in the first week of January. It is important to us that Hrithik is 100 percent fit and shifting the shooting dates by a few weeks makes a lot of sense.”
A source close to the film said “Mohenjo Daro is a physically demanding film with some challenging action sequences which will be shot in the first schedule itself. Both Ashutosh and Hrithik being the perfectionists that they are did not want to shoot these scenes with a body double. Ashutosh has decided to push the shoot to next year so that Hrithik is fighting fit, lean and strong, when he reports on the sets”
