Housefull 3 has passed the Monday test with flying colours, as the film has collected Rs 8-8.5 crore on Day 4. The collections are good, considering the fact that multiplex ticket prices drop on Monday and it was also the beginning of the Ramzan period.
We had mentioned in our report yesterday, that a good hold will be somewhere between the 8 - 9 crore mark and that’s exactly what ‘Housefull 3’ has achieved on its first weekday at the box office
Moving forward, Tuesday has become as big a test as Monday these days. Acceptable drop would be somewhere around 10%, anything more than 15-20% wouldn’t be a good sign – more so because the film has plenty of open weeks at the box office and a positive trend would go a long way in ensuring that the film beats the 112 crore figure of the last ‘Housefull’ film.
In the recent past, unlike pre-Diwali, Ramzan hasn’t had a big impact on movie business. Films like ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhani’, ‘ABCD 2’ have performed very well. ‘Baahubali’ was outstanding too. ‘Housefull 3’ should remain largely unaffected, but there could bigger than expected drops at smaller centres Tuesday onwards.
Looking at the trend, the first weekend business of ‘Housefull 3’ could get close the 80 crore mark. The film should eventually be the second highest grosser of 2016 (not including The Jungle Book), as early as the second weekend.
The hold over the next few days and growth this coming weekend (open week with no major releases) should give a better picture on the final collections of the comedy film.
If all goes well, it should be Akshay Kumar holding the first top spots in the highest grossers list, at the end of the first half of 2016.

- Friday – 15.21 crore
- Saturday – 16.3 crore
- Sunday – 21.80 crore
- Monday – 8.5 crore (approx, early estimate)
- Total collections – 61.81 crore

@Farhad, why because it is became biggest ATBB of the series? If your makkhi was in dhoom 3 (though impossible for him to be cast in big franchise like dhoom due to lack of stardom and fan following) but even if he was, then it would have been historic disaster and couldn’t even cross 20 cr life time. It’s Aamir whose stardom made it cross 285 cr despite so called crap story. House Empty is brand because of Akki? Nice joke. That’s why the opening was only 15 cr. What a power of Khiladi Makkhi??????????
Akki needs to release his film rustom on sep 30 since there is no film releasing on that date so that it could benefit due to gandhi jayanti mohenjo daro seems like good film and it deserves a solo release and so does rustom

I didn’t found those introductory scenes great. They were silly, yet I got a smile on my face.. Many of the scenes were ruined by those dialogues..
I loved Kamal Hassan’s Pushpak. Hera Pheri was good too. I even enjoyed Heyy baby. That was not a great film, but entertaining!! Housefull3 is joyless…

admin u once tell that the film content takes film to safety level…does comedy hold any content?. .releasing film aftr every 3 4 months and opening of 15-16cr,is it bad?. .if people are realy tired of akshay on bigscreen. .why his films turned out to be superhit. .& for the actor who did 4 flms in a year should focus on content too else people will reject the film because they dnt want to waste money on his poor film & wait his next film. .admin i jst want to mean that dnt only give credit to content. .if film turned out to be flop,then all says its akshay kumar. .when flm is hit.,that film’s content is good ..why nt due to akki?. .yes hf3 is multistarer but success behind it is only Akshay Kumar,dnt deny this fact. . . . .
8.5cr on a Monday is a good hold…apparently after the first and second day I was thinking HF3 was gonna wind up pretty quickly…but a superb Sunday and a good Monday looks good for the film for a long run

House full wil collect 80-85 1week.2 week 30-35 and lifetime would be 130cr
