2016 has been a fairly good year for the Hindi Film Industry. The box office collections of all films combined in the first 5 months of 2016 is higher than the same January – May period last year.
But apart from ‘Baaghi’ and ‘The Jungle Book’, no other film has managed to make a mark at smaller centres. In fact, the share of business generated from multiplexes has nearly touched 90% this year.
This could be because there hasn’t been a film featuring a top superstar that has held appeal towards every section of the audience. ‘Airlift’ was targeted at the multiplex audience in cities and didn’t even release at most single-screens. ‘FAN’ had a wide release and even took a initial, but the film had very little in it for the masses.
That brings us to ‘Housefull 3’. A established and much-loved franchise, a superstar with a big following at smaller centres (multiplex audience are returning to watch his films too) and actors (Akshay and Riteish) with arguably the best comic timing in the industry. The film also has a favourable release period – which falls just after the conclusion of the IPL season. Music is not very important for this genre of films, but the only problem could be the mixed response to the theatrical trailer. Nevertheless, Housefull 3 should open big on Friday with content deciding the fate of the film Saturday onwards.
‘Housefull 3’ has it all and is truly one of the biggest films of 2016, but highly-anticipated big films featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead, haven’t really worked at the box office in the last few years. ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara’ was arguably his most-awaited film, but it was a major failure both in terms of content and collections. ‘Brothers’, another Akshay Kumar biggie, suffered the same fate too.
All eyes will be on ‘Housefull 3′ this weekend. It’s a big film that has to score big. Anything less than what the previous film in the franchise ’Housefull 2’ collected (116 crore) would be considered a disappointment.

Housefull 2 was the last comedy which performed really well and then it’s a dry spell for comedies.
Expecting Sajid-Farhad to have made an entertaining movie which is all what is expected from a movie like HF 3.
It’s not meant to preach anything nor to please intellectual cinegoers who like to watch story driven films.
It’s just meant to make those 2:30hrs a delightful one for its audience who love to get themselves entertained.
I think it is getting minimum 3500 screens for sure,screen count can go upto 3700 too which will make it Akki’s biggest release so far and this year’s too.
I am going to predict yet another big film of year (2016)

As a die hard Akkian, I’d like to admit that the only reason I’m awaiting Housefull 3 is Akshay Kumar. The Housefull franchise consists of reasonably entertaining films,and hopefully, Housefull 3 will manage to do the same.I hope the film will be a success at the box office purely because it will help dispel doubts about Bollywood’s credibility over hollywood films at the Indian box office.Let’s hope for the best!
This will Crash Badly… It looks very very Dissapointing even for Housefull level.. Akki’s act of that Sundi is so so Annoying it makes u bite ur teeth.. Then u hav Abhishek Bachhan and three plastic dolls. Only Saving Grace can be Ritesh but what can he do alone ? Music is big Flop..
HF1 had oh girl u r mine,Panauti and Papa in its favour..

Not a single song of HF 3 is even Hit let alone Chartbuster..

If trailer promos and music are anything to go by, I don’t think it’s going to meet the expectations. It’s the 3rd part of a successful franchise with favorable genre and a multistarrer, so the general expectations should be crossing 150 crore mark in India. If it fails to become Akshay Kumar’s highest grosser, then it will have underperformed. I don’t think neutrals have liked the trailer or music of this movie, wouldn’t be shocking if it fails to cross Airlift. Hoping the movie turns out to be a laugh riot, though. Comedy genre is easily one of the best.
In my opinion it is unfair to put hf3 with the likes of ouatimd and brothers..!!!

Being a Akki fan from his first ever movie sougandh, I hope HF3 will do great business.. At least 150/180 cr. But truly speaking HF3 trailer was average, songs r OK n Dialouge promoes r not a hilarious one.. I expect lot more from HF3. As a fan of Akki I want the HF3 must doing great business n tag SUPER HIT at least..
