Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty is Akshay Kumar’s 3rd film in the 100 crore club after Housefull 2 and Rowdy Rathore. The A.R. Murugadoss film passed the 100 crore mark on Saturday and has now collected around 103.5 crore in 17 days since its release.
Holiday should go on to be Akshay’s second highest grosser ahead of Housefull 2, but should fall well short of his highest grosser Rowdy Rathore.

@Sick Rum lol.. you reminded me of the RNBDJ days.. where RNBDJ first broke OSO’s record of all time grosser after a year, but then a killing machine i.e Ghajini comes and breaks it right within few days!!! That’s class for you.. Also Ghajini was promoted at the time RNBDJ released and it was a marketing masterstroke from the man you refer as Tingu..well that became a case study at IIMs later which our Bakra King couldnt even achieve.. Epic Bekaar.One being the proof :D
Also wrt Jai Ho, agreed that no big movies were released until June, but that’s where Akki Sir scored 2 years ago when HF2 released during IPL and crossed Don 2’s collections as well..This year 2 States scored as well despite not being a big movie and it being catered more towards the urban audience and not masses..so it isn’t the stars fault if they don’t release their movies during IPL season..the producers don’t take that risk as they can’t generate humongous revenue like 200 crs during this period..thus it clearly proves that everybody wants to make the maximum out of the big releases!!!
Also with respect to Holiday, i seriously feel that the lack of promotions and the negativity Akki Sir got after OUTIMD and Boss affected a movie which was well made and deserved atleast 150+ crs..anyways going by the Humshakals collection, i feel Jai Ho record will last till Eid, when Bhai will be back in action and give an awesome KICK on the rear of the 3.7 million Bakra fans around the world!!!
