2 States has beaten Jai Ho on its second Friday at the India box office. While Jai Ho collected Rs 3.32 crore on the first day of its second weekend, 2 States has managed to collect around 3.5 crore net.

Jai Ho still holds opening, weekend n first week records for the year 2014. People are insane who are counting second friday collections but I feel 2 States may cross Jai Ho lifetime. There is no shame in it as if there is night there will be a day, if there is a low there will be a high & if there is a Jai Ho there will be a KICK !!!!!!

Like the site are the followers of this site too.As we all know that @Indicine is genuine site & not biased towards any bakrapur/paglapur fellows.It was desperate to show that a superhit youthful,love & entertaining film like 2states has overdone its 2nd Friday business by 20 lakhs than a semihit film JaiHo.But it doesn’t have guts to post an article that JaiHo is the only Indian film to do a business of 107.37cr with a semihit verdict & a non holiday release & still is the biggest grosser of 2014 & holds record in 1st day,1st weekend,1st week,nett total in India & OS.Irony is that some brainless dumbs are making fun of JaiHo but they dont know the fact that Jaiho has done more/less the same business than their global star’s each & every film except his biggest grosser of last year.This is what called the stardom which is only possible for SALMAN KHAN.
@Sameer, what do you mean by only ‘Semi Hit’ film to do 107.37? First of all, Jai Ho collected 112 cr. Secondly, the verdict depends on the price that it was sold for. 2 States was sold to UTV for less than half the price of Jai Ho.
I mean that #JaiHo being tagged as a semihit film could do 107.37cr(Source:BOI) in a non holiday period by overcoming many obstacles.I asked to name any single film of any superstar which did above 100crs in India in these many years with the same semihit verdict whether a holiday or non holiday release leaving JaiHo ? Yes i too know that it was verdicted as semihit just because of its rights sold at high prices.In its theatrical run it has never shown such drastic drop in collections.How ever at the end it was not able to match his previous blockbusters so it was finished as a semihit.Boxoffice figures wise it was not at all a failure.
This also shows power of bestseller books on which mpvies are based. And to think Aamir did not want to give credit to Chetan Bhagat for 3 Idiots!
