After Queen, the trend that 2 States has show in the last few days is the second best of 2014. Even though 3 new films released this weekend, 2 States has shown fantastic growth in business and should collect 15-16 crore in its second weekend to take its total business to 75-76 crore in 10 days.
With all new releases faring poorly, the only competition that 2 States will face is from the Hollywood film ‘The Amazing Spiderman 2’ which releases in theatres on Thursday, May 1st.
The big question is, if the film can cross the 100 crore mark and get close to the lifetime business of2014’s biggest grosser Jai Ho.

It may fall just short of 100 crore (I expect it to be above 90 crore), since TASM-2, from a hugely popular series is releasing after 3 days. Jai Ho’s record will be safe until June at least.
Jai ho lifetime is out of reach but i wish 2 states will collect more than 100 cr, It shows movie was well accepted by audience. Its good news for Arjun and Alia and their fans.

but, i got to see the movie yesterday, and Indicine, what a crap review you had given.
The only flaw in the film is it gets a bit slow in between, and one or two good songs would have done a great job, or a bit more editing would have been good.
Both the lead actors did a brilliant job. Both were totally in to the character.
I wished they had treated it a bit difrerently than the book, but then the director is not Hirani who gave 3idiots a completely different feel on the screen, so that’s fine.
The problem with most of the reviewers are that they just go to the movie with a set mind, and a pen in hand to jot down all the flaws.
Instead if one relaxes and just go to see the movie without any prenotion, things would be more real.
No wonder people have started to ignore reviews more and more, and add to that paid reviews which has completely removed any truth in movie reviews.
Those who haven’t seen the movie, i guess, if you like soft romance kind of movie with a some genuine smiles and laughs, you should see 2 states. The characters in the movie lends life to the story. Enjoy it.

@Flop Kumar looks like you live in the Floppy Disk era..and have forgotten that Akki has 2 100cr movies in HF2 and RR..also SIK, OMG and Welcome were worldwide 100cr grossers..also Akki was the 1st guy to deliver 500 crs revenue singlehandedly in the domestic market across 5 yrs..so upgrade yourself asap..else you will become obsolete on this site!!! :P
