Based on our interaction with those in the trade, reports from audience and our own expectations, we will be predicting the opening day collections of all films that will release in 2015.
- First Day collections of Bollywood films will be predicted soon after the theatrical trailer (or long teaser) of a film is released.
- Predictions could be updated / changed everyday, based on the increase / decrease in buzz, response to songs, television campaign, effectiveness of marketing etc.
- The final predictions for the opening day collections will be made a day before release – after which the collections will be compared to the actual first day collections of the film.
- For films collecting less than 15 crore: 10-15% up or down will be considered to be ‘accurate prediction’
- For films collecting more than 15 crore: 8-10% up or down will be considered to be ‘accurate prediction’

Interesting article and something new by our very own website Indicine . I agree with most of your predictions but i think the opening day of Baby will be more than 9 CR . I guess because of no promotions has been done . I really like when some makers do not promote their movies because they something different . I will definitely watch Baby because of Akki and Neeraj combo . I think so the 1st day collections will be more than 12 CR . I honestly want Baby to collect more than 15 CR and this shoud be Akki’s highest opener beating Rowdy Rathore .

baby will be one of the best films of the year and will be show good growth after first and I am sure it will collect around 100-140 crore because of content and dont when special26 did around 70 crore in 1500 screens on non holiday weeks. this time it have holidays and big screen count.
PK was not promoted much by makers and producers and its songs also cant become popular after all of that still it collected 300 crores just because of star power and content and its buzz also lower few weeks before release because of no promotion so we all can stand why BABY producers not promoted it much because whole film depends on content and star power of akki.
