Shah Rukh Khan’s FAN has collected Rs 4.5 crore, as per early estimates, on Day 6 at the box office. The drop is normal, because Tuesday was a partial holiday for Mahavir Jayanti. But collections are down to low levels for a film that is running on 3500 screens and plenty of shows at multiplexes.
The 6-day total of the film now stands at around 68.5 crore mark and the film should finish its first week with net box office collections of around 72 crore.
The trend is very similar to Akshay Kumar’s Brothers last year, a film that also collected Rs 52.08 crore in its first weekend and 68.22 crore by the end of 6 days. FAN has shown exactly the same trend and the collections of both films are on the same level.

Even in overseas,FAN has underperformed to some extent.
And some of their fans on social media are calling Indian Audience as stupid who can’t digest a masterpiece like FAN.
Truth is that even in overseas,only those films of SRK have done well which have some NRI related content.
A brilliant film like Chak De India,could’nt do well in overseas,While a mediocre KANK creates records.

Initially yrf want 1st June release but Srk forced them for 15th April.
Because he wanted Raees on Eid & min 3 months gap between Fan & Raees.
Now he lost Fan & almost lost Eid date for Raees as well.
Now any how Raees get Eid spot then it will face following problems:-
1.Very limited release as Sultan will take max & quality screens
2.Salman after BB & PRDP is in full form against struggling Srk aftet Dilwale & Fan.
3.Salman-Eid combination is huge & even in worst case Sultan will eat huge business of Raees in 1st week as Eid fall on 5th day.
4.Salman-Anushka Indian wrestlers playing for India vs Controversy around Srk & Pakistani Heroine in Raees will hurt Raees which will become plus for Sultan Easily.
If Raees win the clash(Looks difficult) then Srk will be back & Salman’s stardom might hit a little but not big damage.
But if Raees loose(85% chances) then its almost over for Srk.

No matter what! SRK still did not take a ‘cheap’ ‘disguisting’ REMAKE route or begged YRF to give him “DHOOM 3” after mega flop TALAASH to match salman and get to 200 Cr.
CE still an original product despite being poor and collected 225+ ATBB Tag.
Same original, mr perfectionalist signed DHOOM 3 to get to 200 Cr with poor performance and help form established franchise.
Same Ajay, Akshay REMAKES after REMAKES after REMAKES to get to 100 Cr. cheap and easy way out. Salman did the same.
I’m glad SRK did FAN. Very honest and worthy effort! 8.2 rated on IMDB. Unfortunately, it did not release on time APRIL 1st. Too much t20 World Cup and IPL to get it a clean run at BO.
FAN deserves atleast 120-130 cr being an experimental ‘niche’ dark thriller.
Its outright thrilling, entertaining and wonderful little movie.

@SG except BB all Salman movies had mixed to negative wom still became blockbuster because megastar Salman is there if wom is positive anyone can give huge blockbuster, with mixed response giving blockbuster is the real sign of stardom (bodyguard, ETT, dabang 2,kick) neither of these are critically acclaimed nor excellent wom still each one is the blockbuster this is the real sign of stardom, srk need top actresses, top producer, top director, good content to give blockbuster but Salman name is enough.
