Shah Rukh Khan’s FAN is on the steadier side at multiplexes today, at some places where it’s a holiday for ‘Mahavir Jayanti’ the film seems to be holding up better. Occupancy at theatres is a little higher at places, but not enough to make a difference.
The problem for FAN is the big drop on Monday, which has pretty much sealed its fate. Even if the Tuesday collections of the film are a little higher due to the holiday advantage, the film will still struggle to recover costs from theatrical business.
The best case scenario from here will be for FAN to show growth today and hold strongly on Wednesday and Thursday. This will give the exhibitors some confidence to allocate enough shows for the film at multiplexes in Week 2.
As per trends, the first week business of FAN is likely to be in the 73-75 crore range.

Very bad 2nd half. Only thing gud about d film is srk as gaurav. One wonders how indicine.com gave it 4 stars. Oh I forgot, indicine.com is a srk fan club where happy new year dilwale n Fan are considered cult films.
Srk Shd focus on work rather than his endless business ventures if he wants to salvage his dipping career. Yash chopra is not there anymore so better invest time in script selection.
As for indicine.com, u guys try hard to be a neutral film portal but the FAN in u does not allow to stick to ur promises!

FAN has nothing nothing except 2 x SRKs compared to Anand L Rai DWARF film.
MANEESH never even crossed 100 Cr. ALR crossed 100 cr and 150 cr without any superstar or even star (Akshay, Ajay).
FAN has no lead actress. I bet ALR DWARF will have terrific female chemistry with best lead actress (it could even be his favorite Kangana or Kareena or Vidhya Balan).
Only similarities btw FAN and DWARF are groundbreaking vfx sfx cgi.
FAN was extremely risky ‘niche’ project even according to YRFs and Adi. A reason why it was delayed for so long.
As much as people are writing off FAN, it can still cross 105 Cr. All depends on 2nd weekend!
So far it has not dipped below 5 Cr per day. Let Wednesday and thursday pass. Well see how far FAN will go.
But writing it off like VEER (40 Cr LOL) or TALAASH (80 cr with Rani and Kareena LOL) is a big mistake.
Fan will get to 75 Cr in first week. Not bad for a song-less, actress-less, chemistry-less ‘niche’ film only running on ‘dum’ of SRKs superb acting!.

Billu was a remake. But the original was not Tamil film Kuselan…Kuselan was remade from the original Malayalam movie ‘Kadha Parayumbol’. Mammootty’s role in that film was reprised by first Rajnikanth and then SRK..while the original Malayalam movie was a BB the Tamil and Hindi versions were flops.
Saw FAN. Its decent i would say. Movie is incoherent at times. However SRK is simply fantastic in this movie. Be it Gaurav or Aryan he has played both the parts with aplomb. Had there been a lesser actor movie would have been poor. Even though movie is decent its the best SRK’ movie post Chak de India.
srk will be less popular than akshay , ajay and even younger stars after raees will release and that wil be disater

Shahrukh done a extraordinary act in the movie, sometimes respect is more important than money as for examples DILWALE 395 crore worldwide hny first day Collection 45 crore but audience didn’t give the respect for that what srk gets for Fan from whole film fratinety and the people who saw the films. What is the bo collection of black, swadesh,paa, guzarush like movies? It’s an offbeat movie no song no heroine no Masala nor a holiday release with IPL is on but still manage higher bo worldwide than jai ho and talash make my words!
