Shah Rukh Khan’s FAN is on the steadier side at multiplexes today, at some places where it’s a holiday for ‘Mahavir Jayanti’ the film seems to be holding up better. Occupancy at theatres is a little higher at places, but not enough to make a difference.
The problem for FAN is the big drop on Monday, which has pretty much sealed its fate. Even if the Tuesday collections of the film are a little higher due to the holiday advantage, the film will still struggle to recover costs from theatrical business.
The best case scenario from here will be for FAN to show growth today and hold strongly on Wednesday and Thursday. This will give the exhibitors some confidence to allocate enough shows for the film at multiplexes in Week 2.
As per trends, the first week business of FAN is likely to be in the 73-75 crore range.

Today morning the trend seemed similar to Brothers, a film which saw drop in the weekdays sealing it’s fate but now the trend seems similar to Chennai Express which had a fall on Monday but collections picked later. The Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday collection of Fan will be in the same range as Monday’s or higher and at last it will cross 100cr. My sixth sense says so and you all people will know how strong my sixth sense is.

Movie reviews are great… Audience are living it still it’s a flop. Remember even swades was flop but it is consider as epic movie and it won srk a Filmfare… Same issue with fan nice movie awesome acting bit no collection. After few years people will remember fan as one of masterpiece

Don’t understand why ppl r calling it a flop. Just go to the article Fan Business Economics and read the last line. Fan needs to collect 60-65 from fomestic business to recover costs and overall 135 cry for a hit. Going but trends both are most likely to happen by end of first week. So Fan is a clean hit. Let’s hope it goes on to be a Super hit collecting 170 cr.

I want to use Indicine as a platform to tell how disgusted i feel when fans of different actors behave as if we all are at war. Showing negativity has become the trend and revenge is on everyone’s mind. If a movie does well, the money comes to the industry itself. If Fan does well, YRF can spend more money on Sultan. If Rowdy Rathore does well, only then can SLB give a Bajirao Mastani. Its time we all show some maturity and wish each other well.
