Sultan is not only setting records at the box office, but the level of advance booking for Sunday is once again – unprecedented. A record number of tickets have already been sold in advance and the total collections from advance sales for Sunday is said to be around 13-15 crore.
This is the sort of advance booking that major event films get for their entire weekend, prior to release.
It’s difficult to predict or analyse where the film can go from here, because the trend has been unlike any other film in the last few years.
If Sultan can touch or cross the 45 crore mark on Sunday, then there are chances of Monday holding up above the 20 crore mark – which would give the film a very good chance of becoming the highest grosser of all time.

SRK had stated that there was a gulf of 10000 screens between Raees and Sultan to clash.
So if example 5000 screens minimum was allocated for both movies that means 15000 screens were needed 4 both movies to clash? meaning 7500 screens for each movie if they divide it equally (definitely).
So.. Now my question is with 7500 for each.. How much collection is the target for each of d movies.. Had extra 10000 been added?… Or how I calculated is not how it works abit naive on screens availability ratio to Occupancy ratio to daily collection.. Thanks

Look at the hard work Salman has put in Sultan … its tremendous.. you can feel that throughout the movie .. his expressions, sincerity, dedication moves you all the way .. he is not overdoing anything in the movie just to make you cry .. he is mixing jokes while serious, just like a real man in real life situation – not shedding tears.Sometimes our Bollywood stars/actors yell a lot, give so many expressions, try too hard to prove that how good actors they are .. but that doesn’t connect with us .. because WHO THE HELL DOES THAT IN REAL LIFE … I felt like most of the actors Adopt the character for reel life but Salman lives the character just like any ordinary guy would do .. he is so real.. and thats why people usually call he isn’t a good actor. Well..!! they are right .. coz he doesn’t act, he just does it just like if I or you or anyone happen to be in same in real life, thats how we would do it .. I apologize but have you seen Deepika in Piku, or SRK in devdas or MNIK .. they tried too hard to make sure that ppl realize how good actors they are .. but that is not how anyone in real life would behave, being the same character .. that overdoing … at the same time watch Kangana in QUEEN and Priyanka in Fashion or Amir khan in his movies .. you simply connect .. its real .. no yelling .. no faltu expressions.. its just like a real modern world Model and a normal woman. No hesitation in accepting the fact that Salman is ahead of SRK (under current scenario) , not because SRK has less fan following or stardom, but because statistics are in the favor of Salman.
However, I won’t consider SRK as a ‘gone case’ and Salman as superior until and unless SRK fails at lucrative festive weekends (with favorable conditions like no clash and a movie with universal acceptance) and Salman succeeds at B.O. on non-holiday (under adverse conditions).
Because under his comfort zone, every individual excels, but his metal would be tested only when he comes out from it and Salman is yet to come out from his comfort zone.

Make way for sultan.. Sultan is not extraordinary movie but the atmosphere in theatre were just magnificiant.. First tym we book 30 tickets and only 3 were salman and all SRK fans including me. But we were really whistling and cheering for sultan.. The first fight in pro wrestling was just awsome the entire theatre gives feel like stadium.. Love u salman from srk fan.
Went to the cinema in bhilai to watch it for the second time asked for tickets of Saturday.there wasn’t any left for the whole day.got a ticket for Sunday 9pm.the cinema is showing 21 shows still hardly ticket was left a day before. We love#BHAI

Watched Sultan last day and it turned out better than my expectations.
Entered the hall with not very high expectations but movie was not like typical Salman masala movies which I always hated(Dabang,Dabang2,Jai Ho etc)-The setup of the movie was desi and simple which attracted me the most.About Ist half ,The “sultan” introductory scene was good ,I liked it and surely his core fan base would have loved it.There were few funny moments which were well placed and didn’t seem forced.The songs (although average to below average itself) worked very well and didn’t affect the pace of movie.The love story and emotional angle in the first half connected the character “Sultan” well with audience.The good thing about the character “Sultan” was the fact that Salman didn’t show his typical heroic character and was shown working hard for everything he gets in the movie.The first half was full of entertainment (not forced entertainment as of typical masala movies)as it was a beautiful blend of fun,love,emotions,hard work and determination.I will rate first half (4.5/5).I am not giving 5 as I had problem with Salman accent even after watching trailer but for me it wasn’t Salman only Anushka also struggled-The point is Sultan friend “Govind” was speaking Haryanvi so fluently that it seemed forced for both the lead characters.
Coming to second half ,it was very predictable and typical second half.The entertainment was very limited and a bit exaggerated.I mean a desi “pelhawan ” comes and wins the free style fighting competition.It is just like Federer leaving tennis and and starts playing table tennis and becomes a champion.The pace of the film in 2nd half was slow.The song “Jag Ghomeya” was seemed so forced that I badly wanted it to end as early as possible(can’t say about everyone but for me that slow song did bore me in already slow paced second half).But despite all negatives of 2nd half the audience’s connection with the character “Sultan” remained strong and that’s the main reason that no one was bored(except that song I also didn’t bore for a single moment).Although Randeep had a limited role but I really enjoyed his character of a stubborn coach.overall the good will of the first half worked even for second half.i will rate it (3/5)
Positives:
(1) Entertaining First half.
(2) Title song worked very well( Khoon me tere matti ,matti me tera Khoon backed by powerful voice of Sukwinder Singh in a sports movie).
(3)Emotional connection of sultan with audience.
Negatives
(1) Forced accent by lead characters.
(2) Salman looked a bit old in first half(when he was portraying 30)-
(3) Jag Ghomeya was unneccessary .
Overall Rating:3.5
It is one of the perfect commercial entertainer of the recent times so it deserves atleast and almost a one time watch on big screen.you will not enjoy watching it second time but you will surely enjoy it for the first time?
