Pakistani star Mahira Khan, who will be making her Bollywood debut in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘Raees’, has said it’s a dream come true to work with the superstar.
“It’s my dream come true to work with Shah Rukh Khan and I am very excited about Raees. But more than this, I am nervous too. It feels like I am under pressure to show my acting skills” Mahira said on the sidelines of the Vogue Awards on Wednesday.
She also spoke about the first scene that she had to shoot in front of Shah Rukh.
“The first scene, I thought I would be doing it smoothly, but as he (Shah Rukh) came in front of me, I forgot my lines. I will always remember that incident” she said.
Mahira is a popular face in Pakistan. She featured opposite Fawad Khan in the TV serial ’Humsafar’.
When asked if she would work in a Bollywood film with Fawad, Mahira said “I know people loved our chemistry, but we both are busy with our projects. Therefore, it’s going to be tough.”
‘Raees’ is scheduled to release in theatres on Republic Day next year.

@hrithik-No one knows Mahira Khan outside Pakistan. Not even in India. That’s the magic of SRK. He makes new-comer actresses hit by striking up chemistry with them and makes them famous. If Raees is a success full credit will go to SRK for sure. Because we all know Lallu worked with top actresses like Rani, Preity etc but couldn’t make them hit, let alone newcomers. The newcomers he worked with had to work in Hate Story 3 or go into oblivion like Daisy Shah, Zareen Khan etc. But that’s okay, since Lallu is a non-actor, talentless non-actresses suit him better for his rickshawala audience.
