Worldwide Rights of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Hero’ goes to Eros International

After a disastrous 2014, Eros International has reasons to smile as they will be distributing two of the biggest films that are scheduled to release in 2015 – ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Hero’, both produced under ‘Salman Khan Films’ banner.

While Salman Khan’s Eid release ’Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is arguably the biggest release of 2015, ’Hero’ is a modern day remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1983 classic with the same title.

“The combination of Salman, Kabir Khan, Eid and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ not only promises fans and audiences larger than life entertainment, but we also look to it setting new box office records as Salman did this year. We’re equally excited to launch bright new talent with ‘Hero’ and are positive the audiences will embrace Nikhil’s interpretation of the classic musical romantic hit” Jyoti Deshpande, Group CEO, Eros International, said in a statement that was released to the media.

‘Hero’ marks the acting debut of Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj Pancholi and Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty.

“We are happy to collaborate with Eros for both the films to fulfil our vision and ensure the maximum global exposure for our films” said Amar Butala of Salman Khan Films.
