Akshay Kumar’s Entertainment has collected Rs 7 crore on Monday, which is the 4th highest Monday collections of 2014 behind films like Kick (14.41 cr), Jai Ho (9.46 cr) and Holiday: A Solider Is Never Off Duty (7.89 cr).
In the last few years, Akshay films, apart from OMG: Oh My God and Special 26, have generally failed to hold up well on its first weekday. 2014 has been different. His films have struggled to open well, but the Monday-drops have been lower than most other films this year.
However, quite a films in the last few months that have held up well on Monday but have shown significant drop in business on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Like we mentioned in our Saturday report, if Entertainment manages to hold up above the 5.5 crore mark over the next 3 days, it will still get a decent number of shows this weekend when Singham Returns releases in theatres. The word-of-mouth is good and the family audience, who usually tend to avoid violent action films, might opt for Entertainment over a film like Singham Returns.
Entertainment is likely to collect 60-61 crore in its first week at the domestic box office. Second weekend business will decide its fate. With one open week or a better release date, Entertainment had the potential to be a much bigger success.

It’s Entertainment is far far far better than Kick but Salman star power make that movie hit on boxoffice.
couldn’t control my laughs when someone is comparing youngistan with an experienced star like akki.let the youngistan survive for more than 5 years atleast then comparisons can be made.

Happy New Year is a thriller about how a group of agents are sent to retrieve loots from dhoom and kick villains and they come out through a washing machine which is needed after watching the overacting of tingulala perfaketion in dhoom 3.

Well,i watched this movie and i forgot it within 5 minutes.there were some scenes that will create genuine laughs. Specially scenes like akki doing the advertisement at first.the bromance scenes between prakash raj and sonu sood where the “suraj kabhi door gagan se” was being played and a few more. But many scenes were unfunny,boring. My complain is against the dialogue writer. Those dialogues of krishna were not funny at all.
Johny lever played his character well. So did akki.some of the prakash raj and sonu sood’s bromance scenes were hilarious. Krishna and tamanna were average. Tamanna was looking damnn gorgeous.
I laughed genuinely at some moments. But over all, it’s not that funny.some of The dialogues were major let down. I never had a huge expectation and it’s like that. It would been better(on par with main tera hero) if they worked on some small things.
