The Eid period has given the industry and fans several blockbusters over the years. This year is likely to be no different as KICK has opened to outstanding numbers, which should ensure that the film goes on to be Salman Khan’s highest grosser and his first 200 crore grosser.
- Both Chennai Express and Ek Tha Tiger had a better release period than Kick. Chennai Express released after Eid and had three holidays in its first week at the box office – Eid, Sunday, Independence Day. Ek Tha Tiger also had three holidays – Independence Day, Sunday, Eid. KICK released on a non-holiday and has two national holidays – Sunday and Eid.
- KICK has released on significantly higher number of screens 4100, compared to 3300 of Ek Tha Tiger and 3650 screens that Chennai Express released on.
- Chennai Express was the first film to cross 100 crore in its first weekend at the box office, although only after including collections from paid previews.
- Kick was the only film to show growth on its second day at the box office, but that was only because it released on a non-holiday.
- Chennai Express was the only film to compete against a big film like Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara on its 7th day of release. OUATIMD had a limited release on Independence Day.
- Kick is the only film without an established director or leading heroine. Ek Tha Tiger was directed by Kabir Khan (New York) and starred Katrina Kaif (most popular leading lady in 2012). Chennai Express was directed by Rohit Shetty (Singham, Golmaal series) and featured Deepika Padukone (most popular leading lady in 2013)

Kick will cross 200 cr mark at the box office on its 11th day whereas CE did it on its 13th day but still people believe that it is not going to beat CE’s life time collections of 225cr. How??? Even if it collects 5 cr on average on 2nd week days which is very low indeed, it will get close to 220 cr after the end of 2nd week. Then the film has a very good chance to collect 20-25 cr in its 3rd week because of week competition with its Entertainment as that film has low buzz. So, 3rd week’s collections can get kick close to 240-245 cr… I think 250 cr lifetime is pretty much achievable at this point of time….
Sallu cant deliver a highest grosser of all time.. After having eid holiday release almost ever year he is not able to break the record of highest grosser of all time which srk did with just a single eid release last year.

If movies are releasing worldwide then show the business also worldwide! It’s not fair you just talking business in India! SRK is the baap of all see the stats worldwide since his debut!!!
Salman’s hahk was first big hit in overseas then chopda decided to release their movies in overseas so baap of overseas is salman. u can ask about it to ur srk and chopda.

Salman do atleast south remakes which we hav not watched yet but ur lungiwala makes blockbuster bollywood movies’ remake like dev-udas, con2 nd many more to remain a bollywood. Kick is movie of action,emotion,thriller,romance its perfect masala and alltime blockbuster.
he is child thats y he likes krish kind f film. bang band cant cross 200 cuz this is nt for kids. u knw hr is a baby star.
