Dulha Mil Gaya is one of those films that you walk in without any expectations. Its been in the making for far too many years and the lead stars hardly arouse any interest of watching the film first day first show. Getting down to introducing the film, its directed by first time director Mudassar Aziz and stars Fardeen Khan, Sushmita Sen, Ishita SharmaJohnny Lever, Parikshit Sahni and Shahrukh Khan in a special appearance (no, not close to as long as his role in Billu)
Story, well, is one of those that you might have seen a hundred times or more in Bollywood films over the past many years. Tej Dhanraj a.k.a Donsai (played by Fardeen Khan) is a dashing young man and like many guys of his age he is commitment phobic. With hope of inheriting crores from his father’s estate, Donsai is shocked when he gets to know he only has a few days to marry Samarpreet (Ishita Sharma) a typical virginal Punjabi girl (like seen in many Yashraj films).
Shimmer (Sushmita Sen) is a popular diva, who is equally commitment phobic. PRG – Pawan Raj Gandhi (SRK), is multi-millionaire who tries to woo back his love, typical SRK style. The film is about these four characters, love and relationships.
Dulha Mil Gaya Review
The problem with Dulha Mil Gaya is, its way too out-dated to work in today’s times. The director is heavily inspired from previous Rajshri and Yashraj classics, but offers nothing new in terms of story-telling or treatment. Also with the changing physical appearances of both Fardeen and Sushmita with almost every scene, its pretty easy to notice that the film has been in the making for years now.
The comedy at most times, doesn’t work. The dialogues are too cheesy and the music is nothing great either. Shahrukh Khan makes an appearance only in the second half, the scene when he jumps into the sea to save Sushmita’s fake dog, works only because of SRK.
Fardeen tries as hard he has done all these years, falls flat unfortunately. With a better actor, the film as a whole would have probably worked. Also, he needs to work on his physique. Hard to rate Sushmita Sen here, she is horrible in certain scenes, good in quite a few. Shahrukh Khan sleep walks through his role. Ishita Sharma is good on debut. Johnny Lever and the others are wasted.
Overall, Dulha Mil Gaya was perfect for the 90s. For today’s audience its boring, out-dated and way to clichéd to make any sort of impact.

Srk’s performance was great. He is the best. Love u srk.
Just seen the movie, the story is outdated & so is the look of the film.Fardeen is as usual, Sush looked gorgeous & does her role well, Ishita Sharma the newcomer acts sincierly but the make-over thing doesn’t make her look any attractive & Srk is there for good 30-35 minutes, but doesn’t leave any impact.
Another flop by srk after BILLU,BHOOTNATH and RAB NE!

Anyways.. I didn’t hv any plan to watch Dulha Mil Gaya..for just 2 reasons: 1) the promo wasn’t encouraging, and I think some stupid ppl selected the worst scenes of the movie as a trailer!!! 2) reading the reviews and believe in them.. so today.. I was in the mall and my brother encouraged me to watch it.. as I already said, he’s the managing director of Bahrain Cinema Co., and I asked also some ppl, the staff there, and they too said that the movie is good and everyone loved it when they saw it and enjoyed it.. so.. I went to see Shahrukh.. my heart was telling me: how come Shahrukh would agree to be a part of any bad movie.. I don’t think so.. so let me watch it and decide for myself.. and I found the movie excellent, intersting, and your review Indicine team is just a (false) sorry to tell u that.. the story is NOT outdated.. the direction, the performance by all the cast, the music, the comedy scenes.. everything was good in this movie and I’ve enjoyed watching it even more than Pyaar Impossible, more than that (idiot) movie 3 Idiots.
The movie was Sushmita Sin’s movie.. the focus was on Sushmita and she had the biggest portion of the movie and she looked gorgeous.. so beautiful in this movie, and her role was in a way like her role in Biwi No. 1..similar.. she fitted in this role as well as Fardeen Khan.. this role suits him a lot, a lover shallow boy.
Shahrukh didn’t look bored.. he also played a nice role in the movie.. but what can I say about those idiots who didn’t know how to promote for this movie, at least to select some good scenes to encourage the audience to watch it.
I liked the new girl Ishita Sharma.. allover the movie is very entertaining and I had a good time watching it, at least I didn’t get bored like watching 3 Idiots ( ppl are idiots loving some crap and consider them as best.. hahaha.. that’s normal.. always happening!!!)

No doubt i love srk. Very good review Fathiya. As u said “what can I say about those idiots who didn’t know how to promote this movie” very much right. Yes i watched this movie and i totally agree with u. So this is indeed a very good movie. Which should have promoted well with selection of good scenes.

Dear Rony.. u all need to “enhance” yr taste for movies.. I gave already many examples of crap movies which were some successful movies in India.. the problem with the Indian audience is that he (never) decides himself whether any movie is good or bad.. he walks like a blind, enters cinema like a blind, and he judges any movie like a blind. and why that happens?!!! because he follows only what he heard or what he read on some websites.. if most ppl said: no.. it’s not a good movie so here we’re.. the movie is not good even if the audience didn’t watch it and he’d spread and tell everyone the same.. no no.. don’t go for this movie.. it’s not a good movie!! and when he watches it.. he’ll never enjoy it because (that idea) stayed and sticked in his mind that the movie is bad.. so he just see some ghosts acting on the screen and never enjoys..and whatever white on the screen are considered as black!! I noticed all this, not only this, even the reviewers “repeat” what other reviewers hv said on other websites in their reviews about any movie.. they just “copy” they just “repeat” the same language and then the movie and all these film makers’s effort would go in the resycle bin!
Some dishonest ppl tried to ruin the movie Avatar, by spreading their bad reviews on youtube, which was in fact a brilliant, extra-ordinary movie and nothing was so great after Titanic except this one, but some ppl for sure believed them and thought that it’s not a great movie and those reviews stopped them from watching it!!!
Exactly like the movie Umrao Jaan, the remake.. how many ppl on this website watched it?!! just few ppl.. one or two, and I’m sure that the audience saw only some ghosts on the screen because of the idea which said: the original is much better so.. rejecting the remake “blindly”.. if the movie Umrao Jaan was nominated for Oscar, as the best indian movie in that year.. I’m sure it’d have won even if it flopped at the box office in India

About 3 Idiots.. I went to watch it with a group of 6 ladies, 3 liked the movie and enjoyed it and 2 of them didn’t like it including me ( I found it a passtime movie, funny in some scenes, but not one of my favourite movies) but the other 2 ladies got bored and didn’t like the content.. so noone can consider them psycho coz they didn’t love the movie and they didn’t enjoy it, they enjoyed watching De Dana Dan more, which I didn’t see yet!!

u shouldn’t compare DMG to Avatar, it’s a crime. If u like the movie, then it’s ok but u don’t have shout it out for a film which is being trashed by everybody. To me, the only good thing in DMG was sush :-)

Because u did mention 3 Idiots as a idiot movie & 3 Idiot is an Aamir Khan movie. A movie can’t be a hit with few lovers like u. It should be accepted by the maximum numbers of audiance.
