Dilwale was steady at the box office on Tuesday, most centres have witnessed drops in the range of 5 – 15%. A select few centres that we tracked were about the same as Monday. As per estimates, the film has collected somewhere around 8.5 – 9 crore on Tuesday.
Bajirao Mastani was steadier, there were some centres that showed surprising growth on Tuesday and others were rock steady showing hardly any drop. The film is likely to collect around Rs 9.5 – 10 crore on Tuesday.
There isn’t much to report today, because business for both films was steady after a volatile weekend. Bajirao Mastani is leading at most multiplexes, while the occupancy of Dilwale continued to remain on the lower side. At single-screens, Dilwale has been leading all through the week.
Business is likely to remain steady tomorrow too. It will be late Thursday evening when the occupancy will begin to rise, as Friday is a holiday for Christmas. The film that takes the best advantage of the Christmas – New Year holiday, will eventually win the much-hyped box office clash.

Due to high ticket rates, nowadays, people are more concern about their value for money. Therefore, content has become an integral part of film watching. People like to see better quality of movie. As a result film having an average script does not appeal now. This is why Dilwale is trailing behind Bajirao Mastani.
This may force SRK to think about avoiding clash on Eid. On the other hand, other non-Khan starrer will get inspiration of releasing their films against the big name which will happen in 2016. I think 2016 can be a game changing year for boxoffice. If clashes do well at the boxoffice then we may have to say good bye to BIG FESTIVE RELEASE in Eid, Diwali & Christmas.

Its very hard to beleive srk films doing better single screen than multiplex as single screens dominated by salman/aki where multiplex is the dominance of SRK. Fan should come instade of Dilwale then the story completely different

watched it today and to ma surprise its actually a good movie.people who were watchimg enjoyed alot…they laughed they clapped.
but the theatre’s occupancy was 60%.. i think shahrukhs intolerance statement has affected it big time…one of ma friend went to watch dilwale yesterday but ended up watching bm.he said some people were even argued that one shdnt watch shahrukh(traitor’s)movie. how cheap mentality

Billuwale despite having top director, chartbuster music, favourable genre and multi starer with huge fan following is failing to beat Bajirao mastani. I feel bad for SRK but really happy to see SRK fans crying in the comment section. Abusing other stars repeatedly when their movie is on release is their common hobby e.g. Salman khan and amir khan on all their movies, Hrithik (krish 3) when Rakesh Roshan announced that it had beaten the record of chennai express, Akshay Kumar calling him 60 crore superstar etc. These Hypocrites are ready to accept Happy new years producer figure but they are not ready to accept Krissh 3s producer figure.

Combined both the movies cannot cross last year’s PK on more number of screens and inflated ticket rates. Even overseas too.
