A. Most of us weren’t even around when Amitabh Bachchan was at the peak of his stardom, but what the trade pundits during that era say is, Bachchan was a one-man industry. We was way ahead of his contemporaries. Probably the best example in today’s times would be Rajnikanth. Salman is super-successful too, but he is around the same level as the other two Khans. DDLJ did well in bigger cities and unlike HAHK, the SRK starrer was well received by the critics too. DDLJ gets written about more often even today, which is why it’s perceived to be the biggest hit of the 90s. At smaller centres, there is absolutely no comparison. HAHK rules.

SRK is a bigger star than Salman…Just compare the overall stats of their career, then anyone can understand…SRK has more hits and he was the most consistent star compared to Salman and Aamir. And if you are looking at the recent boxoffice performance then its only becoz of the Genre they are doing…Salman is doing the same genre for the past 4 years…And that too on Eid….Even SRk can do that…It was proved last year when SRK did a Masala movie then it broke all records..So SRK is currently the biggest star in Bollywood as he is accepted everywhere…India and Overseas

3rd Q- best film of 90’s- too many good films to pick one- surprise for kShitij srivastava is that I rate akkis Mohra extremely highly and Saajan is up there too but considering the question asked was about HAHK + DDLJ (not DDLG as our wannabe rajeev masand Nipun Kumar Pooruhit keeps writing) I would go for HAHK as Madhuri was adorable in that movie and super hot.

Let every actor bear his or her own name when they come put smiles on our face, get our applause and best wishes! Movies Salman aamir srk did don’t b surprise if it was Amit sir he may not have done d role well and vice versa. By d way d 70s bachchan u ppl r talking about was a superstar whose age was between 20-30years plus…. So its gonna b late let’s say we really have to compare d khans wit Amit post 2015 release cos by then they would b in their late 40s almost 50!
So I wld rather u leave d comparism of Amitji if necessary with d younger generations whose age matches with Amitji age of 70s rather than d Khans.

@mort decai you seem to be very jealous of Srk and his success. Obviously Ddlj is more popular and loved film than Hahk. Hahk was the highest grosser of 90’s and it also starred madhuri the leading lady of 90’s.
