Dhoom 3 has crossed the ? 240 crore mark at the domestic box office, including regional versions which have contributed ? 11.54 crore (record) to the total collections of the film in India.
The film is all set to be the highest grosser of all time tomorrow, surging ahead of the lifetime collections of Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 3 (? 246 crore).
Dhoom 3 has collected ? 7.26 crore on its 12th day (5% jump in business on the last day of the year), to take its total business to ? 241.93 crore in less than 2 weeks since its release.

D3 will achieve 4 milestone in its lifetime which is achieved by 3i. 1.biggest grosser of all time in domestic. 2.biggest grosser in overseas as expected and trend suggest. 3.Highest Grosser worldwide 4.open and create 2 milestone worldwide 3i was first movie to cross 200 and 300 cr worldwide and d3 collected 400cr+ first time and universally accepted and will have 500cr entrant as expected. And last but not least it is not easy for coming movies to get past worldwide collection of d3, party time for Aamir lovers and Bollywood.

And there is no doubt no Dhoom sequal will be more logical than Dhoom1. So stop making to fool yourself and trying to be critic and finding loopholes in plot of d3 and logic. @nipun i respect your opinion but its funny when people were loving d3 you are searching style, i have friends of mine who are not a fan of Aamir,john or Hr and also not haters of them and all of there verdict are they loved D1 the most and than they find d3 better than d2 and its due to breathtaking action and Aamir’s performance. And you know they also thinking John act was way better than Hr in D2,as he provide much needed thrill and style which indian audience never seen before in bollywood till 2004.

@aks:i don’t have any problem with amir.in fact,he was great in samar character. But it was expecting a fully dhoomous movie. Director could have done a better job,i felt.
And about performance,undoubtedly hr’s performonce was best ever.his dancing,looks,style,charm,physique,expression was admired the most.
And hrithik won filmfare award for best actor. In the history of bollywud,if u see the awards list,hrithik was an actor who won for an action film.

Because the truth is that Chennai Express is accepted by audience mainly family audience that they watched it twice and thrice whereas Dhoom3 has got negative word of mouth and it got the collection because of the hiked ticket price….
Chennai Express collected 228cr nett in India ,124cr overseas and 422cr gross WORLDWIDE with only 6 days open and competition from other films reducing the screen size from 3600

Chennai Express run because of the BRAND “SHAH RUKH KHAN” and Dhoom3 run because of the Dhoom3 brand ,4500screens and hiked ticket price with no competition from any other films(3 open weeks) !!!!
And 1 question …If CE had aamir Khan ,it would not have collected this much…..Chennai Express collected 122cr in overseas being a desi masala movie because of SRK…..Is it possible for any other actor???…wheras Dhoom3 would have collected this much with any established actor…and no one can deny this and have to accept it because it’s a fact

@Sem – I am not arrogant enuf to understand that SRK has been the most consistent amongst all the three of them. Similarly you should also be ready to accept the fact that his star power was never enuf to guarantee a supreme blockbuster which will shatter all records because of his choice of films.
He is not big enuf a star to take a movie to ATBB status. He just have one movie in the past 20 yrs which broke all the records, i.e. CE. And if you are not blind it was mostly becoz of:
–> Rohit Shetty
–> Deepika’s awesome acting which was loved by all
–> Holidays and excessive promotion
In contrast compare Aamir’s Dhoom 3, which inspite of literally no promotions and riding solely on Aamir’s acting broke all the records in 10 days. Dhoom 3 is literally owning all the records that are there and if you ignore the fact that it is due to Aamir, then no one is going back to that theatre to watch Abhi and Uday. Also Dhoom franchise can only get you the initial but Aamir is the pillar which is supporting such huge collections.
Also you can see Aamir as humble enuf giving credit to his directors, while SRK will make it seem lyk he is the sole reason that CE was a blockbuster.
Believe me if PK is half as good as 3Idiots, you will again see records which SRK can never match again due to age factor.
Had SRK been in D3 it wont have crossed 200cr becoz D3 is not a very good movie and it is saved only becoz of Aamir’s acting and superb performance.
Only becoz of Aamir D3 was saved from becoming Tashan 2.
And in case the movie is bad SRK not have enuf acting chops to make a movie ATBB lyk Aamir has. Just see the result of his over hyped RA1 or Don2.

Most of Dhoom franchise’s fun comes from the robber-police chases and action scenes NOT how the robberry is done. The people are asked to believe the robbery is done and then enjoy the chase between robber and the police.

i have watched the movie..but i was feeled diappoint till its 30 mins..till there was only amir in the charcter of sahir in the movie….and when jay and ali cames it was funny and it was craapy too(for some people) but it is nice from there only..and also when the secret of samar was diclosed it started new with some emotional,comedy,little bit rom…and of course how can i forget the stunning stunts of samar in the last 40 mins of the movie..
overall it was wachable movi with some actually good performance from amir as samar…and sahir was not too good…and loved kat…with some emotional and classy scenes of the movie..
my rating—-3 out of 5
and must watched for the fans of aamir..like me
@nipun In “Dhoom 2” they showed all the robberies bcoz their budget was less to show mindblowing chasing sequences and stunts like “Dhoom 3” and Hrithik bike was like a bicycle compared to Aamir’s hifi BMW bike and this is the reason Hrithik was using skates in Dhoom 2.lol

Salman Khan to star in Dhoom 4 in double roles as Inspector Chulbul Pandey & the main antagonist role of the theif. @sss agree srk ce was good movie, but did you ever seen my comment in which i called CE a crap/bad movie, Aamir Rmaked Ghajini and every one knows this was best accepted Remake movie ever and liked by people too that’s y become ATBB and highest grosser when it release, so you are no one to call it a crap, and South remake were also in Bollywood remeber Tere naam & Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and if you saw even SRK worked in two remakes Don & devdas, and his many movies were inspired from hollywood flicks ans storyline copied too from there.
