The trailer of Detective Byomkesh Bakshy has just been released and like all other movies that will release this year, we will be predicting the opening day collections of the film as soon as the trailer is out.
Detective Byomkesh Bakshy should open well at multiplexes in cities and the interest around the film will be higher in West Bengal, as the film is set in city of Kolkata. We expect the opening day collection to be around Rs 6.5 crore (Note: Predictions will be updates depending on how well the songs and trailers are received. It would be too early to predict the lifetime collections.The songs will play a very important role in the lifetime collections of any movie
byomkesh stories r always rich in content so I m 100% sure that dbb will b a v gd film
plus it is releasing in youngistaans fav season-ipl season where v hv cent percentage success rate.ishaqzaade,aashiqui2,2 states were all released in ipl season yet they became memorable successful films
I am Very poor in prediction (although Better than our uncle @Navin Daryani who had predicted 300 crores for Jai Ho:p.), still i would love to give my prediction.
As we haven’t heard the songs and other promos yet, we cann’t easily predict about it. But, still looking at the name of Sushant Singh Rajput,YRF and Dibakar Banarjee, I feel it should do around 6 crores on the opening day. Also, Its genre is not mass-friendly. Let’s hope for d best!

Want this film to be at least a hit. It’ll open a market for such films if Bakshy is a hit. Can’t say anything about opening day, but a good WOM is gonna work for Bakshy.
I think opening day will b 5-6 cr but it’s YRF movie so anything is possible.
Loved the trailer of the film, it easily ranks as one of the best this year.
Everything you need to know is shown in under two minutes and it focuses mostly on Calcuta.
I think yrf has selected 3rd April to release this movie instead of 10th April is because at 29th March world cup final will be there so yrf is thinking that it would be good period for film like post iPL period is.
I think DBB will open around 8crs mark..mark my word
btw,You have reduced BABY’s prediction to 8.5crs? I think it should touch 10crs.

Absolutely true. Ayushmann has only 2 flops and he is one the verge of being a one hit wonder. Alas, big films these days go to the “sons of star producers.” That is exactly the reason I feel Sushant is hatke. He is doing films with content without any backing. hope Hawaaizada also becomes a sleeper hit.

i’ll watch only for sushant and dibakar…..kai po che,pk,shuddh desi romance…he has done a terrific job as per the role and giving a tough competition to new comers..Way to go

i think indicine has just exaggerated a lil bit. sushant is not dat big as a star to bring audiences to theatres……his previous works were recieved well because one was an adaptation of a popular novel, other being female centric which was carried on shoulders of parineeti more. n pk we all knows…….. was an aamirs film.
