Dear Zindagi Saturday (Day 2) Box Office Collections

Dear Zindagi has shown excellent growth on its second day, collecting Rs 11.25 crore at the box office on Saturday. The growth in business is around 28% from Friday, which is better than most films that have released this year.

Growth from Friday to Saturday of films that showed good trend this year:

  • Pink – 77%
  • Neerja – 62%
  • Dear Zindagi – 28%
  • Rustom – 16%
  • Airlift – 18%
  • Ki and Ka – 15%

The growth that ‘Dear Zindagi’ has shown is probably the best of the year so far, because Pink and Neerja did not take a big enough initial because it did not feature a major bankable star.

The level of business in the first two days is similar to Alia Bhatt’s last film ‘Udta Punjab’, which collected Rs 10.05 crore on Friday, 11.25 crore on Saturday and 12.5 crore on Sunday. The first weekend business of the two films could be similar. Monday will decide where the film is doing, as Udta Punjab collected 4.5 crore on Monday and finished with lifetime business of 60 crore.

IndicineLBO: We expect ‘Dear Zindagi’ to wrap with lifetime box office collections of Rs 65 crore.

Dear Zindagi Box Office Collections (Official)

Dear Zindagi Trade Estimates (based on our sources, more accurate figures will be posted after the end of the first week)

  • Okay how does a movie with excellent WOM with 30 cr weekend wrap up within 65 cr? It has to absolutely crash for that to happen. My prediction is 90-100 crores.

  • #DearZindagi heading for a 33Cr weekend on Just 1200 screens with a normal day release while #Shivaay failed to touch 30Cr on 2800 screens!

  • #dearzindagi is firing all guns today while most of the shows in late after noon and early evening are house full Nd rest at 75%+

  • Feel sorry for experts who were ?ing the promotion strategy, the buzz..one sir even said movie will flop cuz makers think they r so smart ?

  • #DearZindagi heading for a 33Cr weekend on Just 1200 screens with a normal day release while #Shivaay failed to touch 30Cr on 2800 screens!

  • Akshay sir crossed HNY Day1 collections in his first weekend just 3 times. And His fans talk about Stardom how funny and sad at the same time

  • Alia with Shahid: 10cr opening (Udta Punjab).

Alia with SRK: 8cr opening (Dear Zindegi).

    Too much funnnn!

  • Srkians were mocking Shivaay’s collections. Now their gigastar’s content RICH Dear Dadaji is collecting much lower than Shivaay.
    #Jaisi Karni Aisi Bharni!

  • Red chelies is so real they even add 1 rupees not like Ajay and Roshans box office figure and producer same collection . respect .

  • I still don’t understand why the movie released in only 1,200 screens domestic. What were the producers thinking?

  • /* We expect ‘Dear Zindagi’ to wrap with lifetime box office collections of Rs 65 crore. */

So it’s 100% confirmed that the 80cr club’s king is going to the emperor of 60cr club.

    #Too Much Funnn!

  • Excellent going. I expect it to grow more today bcz srk factor is there. Monday will be the true test. If movie is good then i expect monday around 6 crore.

  • its very boring nd slow movie. alia was good but srk is overacting ki dukaan but y srk fans r happy..he has cameo in this movie. overall movie is crap..i give 1 star out of 5

  • @ tiger, WTH why are u decreasing the collection ? Its 8.75 not 8. And compare the screen count of both films ? lol

  • you guys always argue over the box office collection!!!! as if, you are going to get a part of share from the producers. Irrespective of the star cast. there will be only 2 type of films. Good or bad film. specially fans of SRK and Salman. why u guys always fighting…???? Be friendly…!!!! Just like SRK and Salman….!!!!! when they don’t have any problem with each other… they are promoting movies of each other on social media… if u are a true fan then please learn something from your star.

  • Well…
This is truly an excellent growth…

The growth for that film which is off beat and a superstar is in supportive role (Remember the story belongs to a girl)…

Shahrukh now started proving that he can give successful films rather than big festival dates, He has enough courage now…

He is not dependent like that non actor whose films get collections due to EID and the one who is completely dependent on Eid… ROFL…

Brave Step SRK, Salute to you from an Akki Fan for such courageous step…

  • @indicine I find jo jeeta wohi sikandar’s climax scenes is best ever in bollywood. It is one of my personal favorites film of all time. All things in movie are superb. Pheila nasha is my all time favourite song. But why this movie is just get above average/ semi- hit verdict despite being such an excellent film? If it release today time don’t you think it will be huge blockbuster?
