More rumours.. this time it’s a biggie! A source close to Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2 unit says, the film could be postponed to March 2013.
While the news is yet to be officially confirmed, it does make a lot of sense. Prior to EID, director Arbaaz Khan had said “Dabangg 2 is almost 60 percent complete, we resume shoot after the promotion and release of Ek Tha Tiger”.
Now, with less than 4 months to go for Christmas, and about half the shooting schedule remaining, the makers would be battling against time. If they set aside 30-45 days for post-production and marketing, they would be left with just about 2 months to wrap up the shoot.
Talaash – Dabangg 2
Considering the fact that the month of December is cramped with biggies, it only makes sense for Talaash to be postponed to Christmas. Currently scheduled for release on November 30th, the Aamir Khan starrer will face competition from Akshay Kumar’s Khiladi 786, which is locked for release a week later on December 7th.
Again, IF the news is true, the following would be the ideal scenario for the industry
- Shahrukh Khan’s next and Ajay Devgan’s Son of Sardar release on November 13th and get 3 open weeks.
- Khiladi 786 releases on December 7th, get two open weeks.
- Aamir Khan returns to his super-successful Christmas weekend, which would make it much easier to recover the film’s high costs.
Although Ajay Devgan has always been keen on releasing Son of Sardar for Diwali, he’d be better off avoiding the clash and releasing his film a week later. Both his film and Yash Chopra’s next will have solo-releases.

That’s a big rumor.I don’t know if its true or not but if its true then movies like YRF Next,SOS,K786,Talaash will be benefited big time.If Aamir decides for Christmas release then It’ll have Christmas holidays,then SOS can be postponed if they wants so YRF Next will be solo Diwali release and K786 can aslo find a suitable date.Again,but I wanted to see a Clash between YRF Next and SOS.

Dear Indicine the budget of Talaash is just 40 crores. And the 90 crore rights news was rubbished by Farhan & Ritesh as soon as the rumour came up!
Talaash is not a high cost film at all.
Also, please publish news which is confirmed by official parties. Not just sources.
Multiplexes have started pre booking for Talaash for its 30 Nov date only. Aamir has also confirmed the 30 Nov date repeatedly.
Till makers of Dabangg 2 & Talaash confirm things themselves all news is mere speculation.

If Dabangg 2 release on Christmas it will manage 160-170 crore lifetime.
If Talaash release on Christmas, it will go past 225 crore easily.
So,i think releasing Talaash is more beneficial for Bollywood.
Talaash will be flop if it will be released during christmas,the running time of dabangg2..we want dabangg2 as a historic blockbuster flim.

Even that will not benefit talash coz hype is missing if dhobighat is joker from aamir khan in a lower level than this one sounding no different again in a bit higher level. So even if it’s Xmas release it will prove to be next tees maar khan. In the on the hand dabangg2 is all set to be next ATBB for salman in a row. Huge franchisee & more for arbaaz Bhai I don’t want to miss him this mega opportunity. Xmas new year many open weeks solo release gr8 hipe wat should he as for more. Sorry aamir salman is a different person now he wont miss this 4 sure like he did with bodyguard. We love u salman aka the king of Bollywood. Tnx.

Well Arbaaz Khan himself clarified it as a false rumor. He says:
There is no change in plan and we are arriving as scheduled on 21st December. There is no delay in the film schedule’s either and we are on track. Yes, 40% of the film’s shoot is left but we have dates already allocated for that. In fact we resume the film’s shoot in a week from now.
I have no idea who is the gossip monger behind this. May be some idle mind is just playing mischief. We are on target and anything and everything else that you hearing are plain rumours. 21st December is final for Dabangg 2

Arbaaz Khan confirmed that Dabangg 2 will release on 21/12/2012,no change in plan.
So all the movies are releasing on there fixed schedule.
SOS will release on 13/11/2012.

But now tell them, dont be happy. Dabangg not delayed. Now this is a lost for this film/for that film/for these films. If he postpones his films than it is a benefit for other actors films. But if he releases his films than it is a lost for other actors films. This Calls King Of Bollywood.

yes you are right.Postpone of Dabangg 2 is benifit for other movies but i think all the films getting time for good business before 21st & then the tsunami will come.
But you noticed..?after postpone news Srk fans excited lot because they thought it will postpone SOS & Srk film get safe.
Srk’s last Blockbuster is OSO(2007),Ra.One(Flop) & Don 2(x’mus release Semi-hit).So need at least a clean hit which will not happen after clash with SOS.

SOS AND KHILADI 786 TARGET THE SAME AUDIENCE GROUP, SO IT WOULD NOT BE A GREAT MOVE TO POSTPONE SOS TO 30TH NOV. RATHER SOS SHOULD POSTPONE TO 21ST DEC, SINCE IT HAS AN ITEM SONG OF SALMAN KHAN, SO FRUSTRATION FOR HIS FANS WOULD BE LESS FOR NOT SEEING HIM ON SILVER SCREEN ON CHRISTMAS.

ek tha tiger now out of gas ..it collect 1.2 cr this friday….now it is impossible to come closer to 200cr..at best it go around 180 cr ..which is impossible..after 2 weeks it collects 173 cr…and friday 1.2 cr so total 174.2 cr…..it is not i am telling ..bollywood most reliable site boxofficeindia give this….pack pack

Guys y we all r shouting of SOS n yrf next clash. It has 6 days weekend n 10 days 1st week which gives them 52.5% dist share from plexes n even more in single theatres which will recover more than wat they could probably loose from this huge clash. Now yrf will definitely benefit with more screens coz they have 3 film deal with distributors still after 1st week it will be the content n I m sure devgan will lead there. Even in 1st week I should say srk film will release in 2800 screens with more shows in high end plexes while SOS will have 1800 screens. Even than huge numbers r in cards for both movies.lets hope for win win situation.
Sos as and srks on the same day wl b a good idea. Let’s see whether srk can even compete with a star- if he could just then we can compare him with superstar Salman hahahahaha

Look if even amitabh n Rajesh khanna days could b over aamir is just a child 2 salman infront of his fan following. Look 2 of the biggest blockbuster in hollywood r from James Cameron does it make him a bigger showman than speilberg or more respectable than Christopher Nolan, no it doesn’t but here that’s not even the case now the biggest grosser Bollywood with 108 cr dist share is ett now so wat is this fuss. Salman n only he will broke his own records this dec n than in next yr eid n than in Xmas with kick. Now we all know by now is that 1st time director sajid will b directing mediocre kick while stalwart raj kumar hirani will b competing with kick in Xmas 2013 with peekay, but swear if he could collect even half of wat kick will collect I will never watch Hindi cinema.
