Dabangg 2 has collected approximately Rs 19.5 – 20 crore on it’s first day at the domestic box office. The film opened to an extraordinary response for the morning shows, but with Friday being a working day, afternoon and evening shows had lower occupancy.
For a non-holiday opening day, these are outstanding figures. Way ahead of the previous best first day figures of Rowdy Rathore and Don 2.
Dabangg 2 is likely to peak on Saturday night and put up record-breaking numbers on Sunday. The film will also benefit from the national holiday for Christmas on Tuesday.
We expect the first 3 day weekend to be around 67 crore nett. If the film sustains well at the box office on Monday, it’s likely to cross the 100 crore mark on Tuesday.

Dabangg 2 was released on numerologically weak date and it is sure to fail to a great extent at BO. The real collections would be shockingly low and as always,the makers will have to inject their own money in market to make the stats look better…… Shahrukh and Aamir did the same thing for JTHJ and Talaash.The real collections records are shockingly quite low…. it has been made to appear around Rs 150 cr and Rs 70 cr respectively to save their prestige……
Real dabangg 2 collections are around Rs 8 cr only….on its opening day….insiders have told us…

Dabanng-2 has clear cut bad WOM. All the critics have panned it. IMDB already has ratings around 5.7 on Day 1 itself.
Dabanng-2 has NO story. NO character development. NO real interesting angles. & has average entertainment value with ratings of 2.5 / 5 at best.
Abhinav Kashyup’s touch & novelty factor to chulbul pandey is clearly missing. Its a trash arbaaz khan B movie aka Auzaar part II in other words.
Salman stardom will carry it over 100 crores but I’ll bet you one thing. Dabanng-2 will be dropping heavily from Monday onwards.
Multiplexes are already SLOW on day one. Sat & Sun will be bumper. Thats it. Monday on, get ready to see huge drop off because of bad WOM.
