Collections of SRK films set to cross Rs 2100 crore

The box office collections of all Shah Rukh Khan films – right from his debut in Deewana (1992) to FAN (2016) – is set to cross the Rs 2100 crore mark. The figure is from India (Domestic) business only and does not include overseas collections.

FAN, his 57th film, is the 20th Flop of Shah Rukh’s career. He still commands a fantastic ‘success ratio’ of 56.14%, which is better than the success ratio of Aamir Khan (48.7%), Salman Khan (47.94%), Akshay Kumar (33.96%) and Ajay Devgn (27.78%).

He also has an outstanding ‘hit ratio’ of 47.36%, which is far better than Salman Khan (38.35%), Aamir Khan (28.2%), Akshay Kumar (19.81%) and Ajay Devgn (18.88%).

Note: Success means verdict of ‘Above Average or better’ and Hit ratio is calculated based on the number of career hits or better. Hrithik Roshan has success and hit ratio of exactly 50%, but he has been in the industry for less than 20 years, while all the others have been around since the early 90s.

  • Love him n also immensely respect him for
    his achievements . He always inspires n never judge him or any other star by their BO performance.
    The sad thing is srk fans always admire good cinema n performances but other fan bases r not respond like that.
    But that doesn’t change anything.

  • Wow!!!!!!

    Thats is consistency for you. A tight slap on all those people busy ridiculing him for just one flop and that too after 11 years.

    Having the best success ratio and best hit ratio amongst his peers. Thats why he is the one and only SRK.

    Truly amazing !!!!!!

  • Indicine u said srk’s last flop was 10yr back paheli but here u mentiond his 7 year old movie Billu flopd

    • @Ankush, in filmography we have also included delayed movies and those that had extended special appearances. Because it’s partly because of the actor’s presence that those films generated business. But when it comes to ranking actors, those films are not taken into consideration. It would be unfair to include extended appearances in ‘hit streak’.

  • Who is the best newcomer?

    Ranbir, Sid, Varun, Ranveer, Arjun, Ayushmaan?

    Mine are Aamir & Salman.
    Both doing well since 2008-2009.

  • Watta career… Truly a megastar. If he quits acting now he will b remembered as one of the biggest legends of Indian cinema ever who ruled box office from mid 90s-2007 period & commanded an insane fan following especially among the fairer gender .

  • Nice article Indicine.

    He has been the most consistent actor, but has been in decline since past year or two.

  • U cannot achieve 24 years of glory just like that. There are some movies which might have failed at BO, but carry SRK THE ACTOR in them. Like Ashoka, Swades, Chaahat, Anjaam etc. After 10 years FAN will be considered as a pathbreaking movie.

  • Total success Ratio –

    SRK = 56.14%
    Aamir Khan = 48.7%
    Salman Khan = 47.94%
    Akshay Kumar =33.96%
    Ajay Devgn = 27.78%

    Total disaster –

    SRK = Zero
    Salman = 3
    Aamir = 3
    Hrithik = 1
    Akshay = 13
    Ajay = 17

  • And by year end Akshay sir movies will cross 3000+ crore at the box office…!!!
    I really hope Housefull 3 and Rustom does wonders at the box office…!!!

  • @ riju basu- don’t think yourself as srk fanbase. look at some of your mates comments on other stars and let me know you one thing don’t find how bad is someone find your own mistakes and than you can learn how bad you are just look at your comment you yourself declaring srk fanbase is good but others are bad, is it same thing we call self proclaiming.

  • What’s big deal to it???
    Bhai and Akki have already surpassed 2500cr mark and will surpass 3000cr soon!!!

  • Is the website all about box-office collections? Why do i never see any articles made on acting or performances? If it was all about money none of Shahrukh, Salman and Aamir would be where they are now. They all are good actors with different styles. If its all about the money then how are Irrfan, Nawazuddin creating a brand of their own?

    Also about the box-office, you take averages of box-office collections which is not the right way to go about it. How about taking an average of Return on Investment(ROI)? It will be fair to actors who work in small budget yet highly successful movies. Its time we focus on cinema rather than cinema hall. Let’s not fully focus on box office as it is unpredictable, where good movies like Fan, Talaash, Swades and Baby don’t work but HNY, Dhoom3 and Likes of housefull work.

    Cheers!

    • @Nihar, quality is subjective, which is why careers cannot be compared based on performances. If we say Aamir in PK was better than SRK in FAN, not everyone will agree. Opinions will be divided. Also, a good film for you, may not necessarily be a good film for someone in a small town or village in India. And their opinion can never be valued lower than someone from a urban city.

      Box office collections and verdicts are set in stone. Not debatable and hence comparable. To a large extent, people can’t argue over numbers.

  • You can give 100 Crore film. 200 Crore Film. 300 Crore Film. But can’t give a longest running film. Because you are not Shah Rukh Khan.

  • While Akki & Salman are crossing 3000 Crores soon, this biggest superstar of the world is set to cross 2100 Crores!! Should I cry or laugh for this?

  • 14 are yrf-dhama products out of his 27 hits. Sometimes a question comes to mind… Agar yrf-dhama nahin hota toh iska kya hota????

  • This kinda articles are really in need to save the career of the biggest superstar of the world from sliding down slope faster than anyone has expected! Congo for that!!

  • Again a biased rubbish article to support media cretaed and overhyped faded star srk. He is nowhere close to aamir in success ratio and he has more flops than aamir. Aamir’s last flop was mela which released 16 years ago and srk’s last flop is not even a month ago. Enough said.

  • Chance For increasing success Ratio –

    Raees = SRK
    ADHM = Ranbeer kapoor
    Dishoom = Varun dhawan
    Befikre = Ranbeer sing
    Half girlfriend = Arjun kapoor

    Chance For Decreasing success Ratio –

    Loltan = Salman khan
    Mangal 2 = Fan less Aamir
    House empty 3 = Akshay
    Mohenajadoo = Hrithik
    Shivay = Ajay
    Custom = Akshay
