Prominent names from the various film industries in the country have done their bit by donating towards the flood victims in Chennai. Rajnikanth has donated a sum of Rs 10 crore, making him the biggest donor.
Shah Rukh Khan, on behalf of ‘Team Dilwale’, and choreographer – actor – director Raghava Lawrence have donated a sum of Rs 1 crore each.
The others who have donated Rs 25 lakhs are Hrithik Roshan, AR Rahman, Allu Arjun (and family) and Suriya.

Actor Rajinikanth’s spokesperson has
denied the news about the actor
donating Rs 10 crores to the chief
minister J Jayalalitha’s flood relief
fund. Earlier, rumours were afloat
that Rajinikanth donated Rs 10 lakh
for Chennai flood victims.
The rumours began when the actor
called off his birthday celebrations.
Many reports on media and social
networking sites said that the money
set aside for his birthday
celebrations has been donated to the
relief fund. Speaking to Silverscreen,
Rajinikanth’s spokesperson

Currently, Rajinikanth is shooting for
his upcoming film Kabali. The movie
team is camping in Goa, shooting
some important scenes. Recently,
actress Radhika Apte, who plays
Rajini’s wife in Kabali, joined the sets.
The team will be shooting in the
coastal city for about 15 days.
@Fasal, this time Lal Mirchi borrowed Rs 1 crore from Being Human. So Being Human could not do it. For your icon, he should have donated at least Rs 10 crs, not just 1 cr, because Chennai has saved his sinking career.

Any amount (or materials) of donation is actually great. The intent to give (publicity or not) and people benefiting is more important. Comparisons on these numbers are highly ridiculous. Instead see what we can do from our end.
At the same time no one has any rights to thrash people who did not contribute. We never knew and even if they have not, it’s their personal choice due to various reason.To me actors like Siddarth who gave their blood and soul to help/rescue people is more than donating handsome money. So let’s not compare each other on these issues and point out who is great and for what purpose they did.
Film actors always become victim to all these criticism so easily while the richest of the rich ( politicians and top business tycoons) are never bothered with all these.

You have right guys, say whatever you want to but you should keep in mind that giving just to the Chennai is not the only nobel deed, there are several causes they are in need of helps. Salman will help with a bigger contribution and most needed thing Shelter during rehabilitation . The situation in Chennai is now on relief work after rescue work is done. One relief work is finished it starts the process of rehabilitation and bring back the impacted people to normalcy it will take time but will happen.
