Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has donated Rs 25 lakhs towards relief for the Chennai flood affected people. Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan, on behalf of his ‘Dilwale’ team had donated a sum of Rs 1 crore towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Hrithik, sources say, has been working closely to ensure food and medical supplies are reaching those affected by the floods.
Hrithik had earlier tweeted “More power to the ones lending a helping hand to our people in Chennai. If you are in a position to help please do. May god give strength to all. Prayers”
The actor is currently shooting for his upcoming film ‘Mohenjo Daro’, which is scheduled to release in theatres during the Independence Day next year.
Hrithik unites with his ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ director Ashutosh Gowariker.

This is extremely kind of Hrithik to come forward and do something for the people of Chennai who are facing a terrible time . This man is sweet and in true sense a complete philanthropist . Whenever somebody needs help or is facing crisis then this man comes forward to help him or her . In Jabalpur when Hrithik was shooting for Mohenjo Daro a 15 year old girl wanted to meet Hrithik . Her name was Ankita and she was suffering from Cancer . Her mother tried to convey her message to Hrithik that she wants to meet him . Her mother tried to meet Hrithik on the set but the security was tight and she gave her message to Ashutosh Gowariker and he told Hrithik . Hrithik met her outside his hotel in an Ambulance and talked with her and his mother . Sadly Ankita died one week later but i am damn sure she will rest in peace as her last wish was fulfilled . Even after achieving so much love, success, fame and adulation this man has not changed and that is what i love about him . He still treats his fans with the utmost care, respect and love and that is something we should learn from this man .
