When Chennai Express broke the record of 3 Idiots, many in the trade felt that it would be an uphill task for films like Dhoom 3 and Krrish 3 to surpass the 227 crore figure. After all, the Shahrukh Khan starrer had collected 100 crore in 3 days and 150 crore in its first week itself!

But a quick comparison between the 7 day (first week) business of the two films reveals that Krrish 3 is ahead of Chennai Express at the moment.

Note: The Hindi version of both films released on approximately 3700 screens. While Krrish 3 was affected by the Pre-Diwali period in its first 3 days, Chennai Express benefitted from national holidays for Eid and Sunday. However, business of Krrish 3 took a massive jump Post-Diwali which is considered to be as lucrative as ‘Eid’ for films.

@aks, dude perhaps you are right.. I am 90% agree with you.. Even i was also a great follower of boi and still think that they have the best knowledge about boxoffice business.. But since last year i lost my faith from boi because they do not stick to their data and they keep on changing the figures even after giving the territorial breakdown.. But still i consider them best as far as boxoffice is concerned.. And yes i also can say that they are not biased and also they are not fame hungry people like taran, komal etc.. But i still feel that they under report by atleast some amounts, may be due to lack of reach to some remote areas.. Though their work is always praise worthy.. But now a days boxofficeindia.co.in looks to me is the best box office site and i follow the datas of this site only..

Well boi is nodoubt the most trusted 1. But than every 1 including boi cannot be trusted as we don’t have any official figures like Hollywood. Talking about nahta & Adarsh they get figures from producers while other sites like addatoday, boxofficecapsule are small sites & don’t have proper access to Indian box office. Boi in other hand is very professional & they provide detail analysis time to time, also they never bargain their rapport hence their trustworthiness is extremely salutable. I may accept 7-8 cr difference but difference if 22 cr in 5. Days is simply unacceptable.

@SAKHI : Every Tom, Dick & Harry like you is a trade pundit or analyst nowadays. ROFL. Where was srk power during Ra.One and Don 2 festive releases ? They are just Hits (one is manipulated Hit) not blockbusters despite solo release during Diwali and Christmas 2011 respectively. FYI .. Salman’s No Entry (2005) was highest grosser during your so called srk golden/ruling period whereas Srk could not give highest grosser during 4 years until CE.
@srkians : Atleast Salman and Aamir records were held for longer time but CE records are tumbling like pack of cards within months. Wait for 3 more months and all CE records will be history !!!!
I think chennai express is a far better than krrish 3. There is one thing unfair is that krrish 3 has a Tamil and Telugu box office also. If you take krrish 3’s india box office only then I don’t think krrish 3 will beat chennai express record. Another point is that there is not any other big movie releasing in November which would affect krrish 3’s box office, whereas in august alongside chennai expresses release there were few other major films that released and affected chennai expresses record. So this was not fair to chennai express.

Frnds..I m Huxein From Burma( Myanmar). I m not an indian but i want to clarify you one thing that there is only one actor in bollywood who is the king and deserves to be the king. Its only Shahrukh Khan. In a country like ours, people sing the songs from Srk films to console their partners. People watch 100 times the same film, if its Srk’s movie. People scream when Srk make entry. People cut their hair exactly like Srk’s. etc..etc..Hez just unparallel. U guys should grow up and know ur superstar.

GOOD – Hrithik Roshan’s sincere effort towards being Rohit/Krishna/Krrish; the use of VFX (some of the scenes deserve a word of praise); the climax sequence.
BAD – Dull screenplay (boring to an extent); average plot; cheap music; un-bardaashtable songs; yawn-prone dialogues; the total mishmash of superhero meets masala entertainment.
Krrish 3 has huge expectations from the sci-fi lovers comparing it to films like “Man Of Steel” etc. but unfortunately like every time it falls flat. After being into theater for more than 2.5 hours, you feel like you’ve watched an upgraded version of “Shaktimaan”, our original superhero (even it was better
