Chennai Express has collected Rs 8.51 crore on its 9th day at the box office, with fantastic growth in business across all circuits. The film has shattered all previous box-office records in the south. In Tamilnadu/Kerala and Nizam circuit, Chennai Express is now the highest grossing film of all time.
With Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara crashing at the box office on its third day, there are reports that exhibitors are planning to reduce the shows of the film from Monday, and increasing the shows of Chennai Express at multiplexes.
The cumulative total of Chennai Express now stands at Rs 171.7 crore. The film is likely to collect around Rs 10-12 crore on Sunday, and should cross the 200 crore mark in its third week at the box office.

- 2nd Saturday – 8.51 crore (31% growth)

(now i guess a film made to do well at box office with(out) critics’ support) whether it breaks
3 idiots’ record or not is solely for the producers and distributors.
sunday is going to be 11 crore plus. So it cross 200 crore at the end of this week as tuesday is holiday.
Films are more important than the stars or any other person for true movie fans.

I think younger actors should have a stake in hindi cinema which is dominated by actors who

A. Not with 100% certainty yet. After a weekend there is a range in which the total can be and when the weekly data comes in then you get more or less the actual totals. But its sure that 92 crore is more closer to the actual total than 100 plus that can be said with 100% certainty.
