Bollywood Superstar Shahrukh Khan has been named as ‘Bollywood’s Most Charitable Person’ by China based Hurun Research Institute (HRI).
According to the report, Shahrukh Khan’s company Red Chillies Entertainment has donated Rs 25 crore towards ‘Social and Rural development’, while Salman Khan’s Being Human has donated Rs 11 crore towards healthcare.
The report is for a period of one-and-a-half years, starting from April 2013 to October 2014.

Entrepreneur, philantrophist and the founder of UTV Group, Ronnie Screwvala and his wife Zarina, have donated Rs 350 crore towards social causes.
HRI has named Wipro chairman, Azim Premji, as the ‘Most Charitable person in India’. He has donated Rs 12,316 crore towards charity.

Mr. Shahrukh Khan Its great work done by you. But if you have time to think about the distributors and exhibitors who is suffer huge losses in your films Ra.One, & Others…….They have closed their business because poor production. Look Rajni sir….. nobody suffer losses in their films.
@hrithik while commenting get ur facts clear Srk had 3 more blockbusters mohabatein,kal Ho na Ho and veer-zaara which was not there in ur list. Check wiki or any other site. Devdas was also top grossing movie of the year but could not be blockbuster because it was made on a high budget.
@hrithik I will agree with your point that comeback Salman has after 2010 is commendable. But that does not mean u should degrade Srk. Srk is still giving super hits and blockbusters.

FYI ETT was not a Masala genre, secondly Dabangg was not a remake though it was Masala genre, third Salman has given BB in Ready releasing non holiday. Who told you that Salman was second lead in Karan Arjun ?? His role got more favorable reviews than Srk in Karan Arjun. KKHH was a Srk movie but Salman left unforgettable impact even with small role & in HTHS, Salman had important role, take out Surajs role from it n then theres no story !!!!!!! The way SRK does charity is the day its usually done. What Aamir does is activism! Salman has created a brand for his charity. The money from Being Human Salman sends to sponsor surgeries for underpriviledged. Because of a show and a brand Aamir/Salman get more celebrated for charity. If you look at SRK’s wiki page, you will find several of his philanthropy engagements. Its not a complete list. Because SRK donates at the end of IPL, after success of a film etc.. These news do come up in some newspapers, but not obviously infont of the general public like a store front..
Moreover, dear Mr.Navin, SRK does not have to prove anything to you, his awards dont need your stamp of approval. SRK was given UNESCO award for charity, its not PR. Because even in 2009 he was given a honorary doctorate in London, his charity was appreciated. And the prestegious Hurun list shows it yet again. What sort of nonsense is this logic that secret charity means he shouldnt get awards? Its the reverse. News about real charity comes out only during such awards that happen after real recommendations from NGOs. And the charity done by Gates & Melinda foundation is very much criticised by UN organisation as being a sham to support money making pharma companies. Hence they have never been given UNESCO award. The Indian peace price winner Kailash Satyarti was awarded more in foreign countries than India, just like how its always foreign organizations and countries that have appreciated SRK for charity.
France gave him their highest civilian award last year, became India’s good will ambassador for South Korea, was given Global Diversity award in London, became InterPol ambassador… If you think all these major honors from other countries are fixed, you must be a conspiracy freak… instead of feeling proud that a fellow Indian got these (that too someone who was orphaned at 25) , shows how much you burn in jealousy that Salman doesn’t get all this… Why does it matter if SRK didn’t deliver highest grosser each year? He is King to his fans, perhaps not BO wise. You ridiculing SRK again and again when your comments receive overwhelming thumbsdown proves your shamelessness. Moreover, there is so much negative emotion on your comments on SRK., which hapoens in every SRK related post.
