Brothers has taken a good opening at the box office on Friday morning. Single-screens have taken the second best start of 2015 after Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The average opening is around the 50% mark.
At multiplexes, the occupancy was lower than films like Tanu Weds Manu Returns. In Mysore circuit, centres like Bangalore and Mangalore, the opening is on the lower side (around 15-20%), but the film should pick up towards the end of the day as tomorrow is a national holiday for Independence Day.

In Pakistan brothers having very few shows dut to good performance of Pakistani movies in last few years. Three big movies 1. Shah (sporty movie) 2. Moor( Thriller) 3. Dekh mgr pyar say staring hamima malik — raja natwar lal (Romcom opened to pack houses in Cinepax chains all across pakistan . Bin roye ( Mahira khan starrer )and wrong number did best against bajrangi this eid in PAK gulf and USA. Suprising?? Average reviews.. nothing special..Am not a bloodshed movie fan ,thought the bloodshed was on sporadic intervals but from reviews seems like a sport movie. ?? Not in a rush to watch it. Will watch it on satellite probably zee tv. So no comments for now.
Biggest blockbuster in terms of footfalls and net collections_inflation adjusted is SHOLAY prior to 1990 and GADDAR post 1990. No kapoor/Khan/Kumar will ever beat that. Dharam paaji and sunny paaji are the true kings of boxoffice.
If this movie does not collect a minimum of 6o crores weekend. Shame on jokers manhood. Varun is by far a way bigger star than akshay kumar. No comparison pls
I would watch off beat Drishyam 3 times than to do the mistake of watching brothers again. Baakwaas. It’s for selected audience. Unfortunately the reason many people are watching brothers is because of sid unfortunately he is disappointing. The supporting actor akshay is way better.
For yrs I have argued (truth be told I have won the debate hands down) that trusting Joker Boy with a large budgeted film n lucrative holiday release period is a really really bad idea…! So bad that even allowing ComplainHolic Complan Boy take charge with the grading of a spelling contest or allow aNIPUNma to change his own diaper or even having kSHITij host a kids party is marginally better…!
Tomorrow is Independence Day n to celebrate exhibitors should reenact independence but this time instead of throwing out the english they should kick out this krappy Hollywood remake from their premises…!

I wish akshay all the best.. he is the most improving actor as performance in recent years. I never seen an actor improved in acting so fast like him..
I suggest you to watch and focus on the scene where he is working on his daughters school project or something at night… in the movie.. woooow
