Arjun Kapoor in Okkadu Remake

It’s raining remakes in Bollywood. To join the long list of south Indian copies is the remake of Telugu film ‘Okkadu’.

Filmmaker Boney Kapoor is set to remake the Telugu film and has signed his son Arjun Kapoor to play the male lead.

Talking about the film, Boney says “Yes, I am making the remake of Telugu film Okkadu. Eros has bought the rights. I can’t reveal the details of it right now. Once things fall into place, I can talk about it. The film will go on floors in June 2013. Arjun is busy with other films like Gundey, Aurangazeb and 2 States. Once he is done with these films, he will start shooting for the Okkadu remake.”

The Telugu film ‘Okkadu’ was directed by Gunasekhar. Mahesh Babu and Bhumika Chawla were the lead actors.
