Still a month to go for new year, but we have our predictions for the Bollywood Awards 2010. The year, even if the remaining two releases – 3 Idiots and Rocket Singh – turn out to be blockbuster, has been pretty poor for Bollywood. With just 4 clean hits, the choices are few and the awards are likely to be very predictable.

- Best Film – Paa or 3 Idiots
- Best Director – R Balki for Paa or Rajkumar Hirani for 3 Idiots
- Best Actor – Amitabh Bachchan (Paa)
- Best Actress – Priyanka Chopra (Kaminey)
- Best Music – Kaminey or Love Aaj Kal
- Best Playback Singer (Male) – Atif Aslam (Tera Hone Laga Hoon Main – Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani)
- Best Playback Singer (Female) – Sunidhi Chauhan (Mere Sang – New York)
- Best Supporting Actor (Male) – Neil Nitin Mukesh (New York)
- Best Supporting Actress (Female) – Vidya Balan (Paa)
If Rocket Singh – Salesman of the year turns out to be exceptionally good, it stands a good chance to win Best Film and Best Director awards.

Thanks Payal for clarifying my point to Arshan. Ajay Devgan was indeed the lead actor of LD, but the shades of his role would make him be considered in Best Vilain category.
Remember SRK and Madhuri’s Anjaam? SRK was the lead actor of the film with a negative shade. Yet he was awarded the Best Vilain award. Same goes in cases of Kajol in Gupt and Urmila Matundkar in “Pyar tu Ney Kya Kiya”. I’m not sure if urmila had won it or not. But she deffinitely was nominated.
I still didn’t see Paa, and will see it tomorrow, then I’ll come back with my review.
For me:
Best movie of 2009 was New York
Best actress: Karina Kapoor for Kurban (Priyanka’s acting was very good in just one short scene in the movie Kamineh, So Katrina deserves more for her role in New York, If I was the one who has to decide who’s the best actress this year and who really deserves the award I’d pickup Karina Kapoor for Kurban.. she did a good job in this movie, her acting was excellent throughout the movie, very natural and proved herself as a good talented actress)
Best Actor: Ranbir Kapoor for Wake up Sid & APKGK ( or Amitab Bachan for Paa.. I will decide after watching it tomorrow)
Best actor in comic Role: Salman Khan for London Dreams
Best direction: will wait till I see Paa and 3 Idiots.
Best actor in a supporting role: actually 3 deserve this award: Shahrukh Khan in Billu, John Abraham & Neil Mukesh in New York
Best actress in a supporting role: Asin in London Dreams
BUT WHO WILL WIN. THAT’S THE QUESTION!

Ya i have seen anjaam. The one with ‘chane k khet mein’ song. Srk was excellent. He is gud in negative shades too like in dar and bazigar also. N yes he was the lead star. Urmila also performed negative role in ptkk n ek hasina thi and got the award. Even priyanka got the award for best actress in a negative role for aitraaz.
@Amit : the indicine list is nt fully crap but only to some extent due to their unending faith in 3 idiots. I havent mentioned it my list. In a recent interview with amir , he told that its backdrop is similar to 5 pt someone bt they have transformed it fully. 5 pt someone is pretty cool. Hope 3 idiots come up to the expectations.

Best Supporting Actor (Male) – Abhishek Bachchan (Paa) , or Vivek Oberoi (Kurbaan, even if the movie didn’t do well at the box office, I hope vivek will get an award cuz he truely give an outstanding performance!!)
Best Supporting Actress (Female) – Kiron Kher (Kurbaan), Same as vivek, she was terrific in that movie!!

Hello Payal: about Paa.. I was so eager to watch it on last Saturday, but my niece insisted that we so and see New Moon first.. so we postponed and I’m going to watch it tomorrow insha’allah.
I’ve chosen Asin although I’m not her fan but I liked her acting in the last part of the movie.. where she cries when she thinks that Salman isn’t faithful.. yeah.. you’re right.. she didn’t do much in this movie but while thinking of all the movies which I saw this year.. from Billu Barber till the last one which I saw Kurban, I couldn’t find any better actress in a supporting role female except Asin.. and could be also Lara Dutta in Billue.. Khiron Kher should be nominated as best villain “female” for Kurban.
Thank god fathiya for praising sumone other than srk.@krish that was not funny.
