After collecting Rs 19.73 crore on its first day at the domestic box office, Besharam dropped by more than 60% on Day 2 to take its two-day total to around 26-27 crore.
The film has crashed all over, circuits that were doing well on Wednesday had bigger crashes, while a few smaller centres had occupancies of 10-20% for some shows.
A few points..
- Besharam has been rejected by the audience all over the country. Several exhibitors have informed us that shows at multiplexes will be reduced from today. The Lunchbox and Grand Masti (in its 4th week) will get more shows.
- The film has fallen so badly, that the second day business is lower than Himmatwala which collected Rs 12 crore on its opening day and followed it up with 8 crore of business on Day 2 (Saturday). Even though the response was equally bad, Himmatwala sustained well at single-screens.
- The immediate impact of negative word-of-mouth publicity is significantly higher in Urban centres, which explains why Besharam started showing early signs of its epic downfall right on the first day of its release.
To sum things up, Besharam will collect around 32 crore in its first weekend (3 days) and finish with lifetime collections of less than 60 crore.

now it’s true few distributors lost money and it happened becoz there r few centres where super hero movies won’t work whatever u do…like Bihar,jharkhand,chattisgarh,sikkim and even east pun jab and few more and u can see the same with krrish3 and please check the collection of it in the places i mentioned above…noe Raone was an average movie but at least it bought something different and it was a pure attempt to get more audience for Hindi flims in newer market and u can see it’s been accepted there…so don’t bring Raone into this becoz all movies belongs to different genre and Raone was not a flop in any scenario but besharam will be a FLOP. thank u

Besharam will definately do more than 60 crores .Weekend still to come, No other big release for 2 weeks and drop is due to weekday, come weekend it will rise. Negative response will hinder its chance to be a superhit but will surely be average atleast.eg. Agneepath day1-21 crore next day was working so 10 crore but again picked up on weekends.
I haven’t watched besharam yet. But whatever response i seen of besharam on tv and my relative who watched besharam and all said they like the movie and nobody is fan of ranbir, i don’t know what is the reason of so much negativity but its all started since besharam trailer was released which was disliked by many, them songs came and they were below the mark,now negative critical response and so many unnecessary negativity surrounded with movie, i think movie is not too bad as it is projected now but whatever the reason movie is being crashed hugely. So a new lesson to ranbir and one common response by everybody movie is not matched with abhinav last dabangg, so i think now abhinav and salman haters now should realise there is equal or more contribution of salman in dabangg success as abhinav had.

Dabangg-salman alone because new director,production house and heroine 2.ready-salman, remake,anees bazmee non holiday release, 42cr weekend but lifetime 123cr and that was thrashed by critics 3. Bodyguard-salman,remake and kareena 4. Ett-salman,kat,yrf 5.dabangg2- franchise,salman so salman having established heroine in his 2 movie ett and bodyguard while ready have anees bazmee but he was not big director as karan or yash ji has or even farhan has, dabangg 1&2 both on his stardom,sonakshi doesn’t having fan following which kareena,kat and deepika has and both abhinav and arbaaz having first movie as director, so even salman has 1 100cr movie nonholiday but tell of is srk having on domestic level, and what an establish heroine can do i think everybody can understand with besharam holiday opening which is quite similar to yjhd non holiday opening and ce success both deepika and rohit having great contribution. And on credit taken away from srk,he did and deserve but your ans is not.
And one more question you are taking your figures for besharam opening of 19.73 cr not official of 21.56cr while not with the case of ett,talaash or ce. Can you tell me as per official till now besharam collected 28.5 cr while as per you 26.5-27 cr though i always taking boi which says 26-26.5 cr, so please at least take a single source for collection not different with every other big movies.
