Aditya Chopra’s Befikre has collected Rs 10.36 crore on its opening day at the box office. The collections are decent, but the expectations were higher when you consider the names behind the film – Aditya Chopra, the man who directed some of the biggest ever blockbusters of Hindi Cinema and Ranveer Singh returning after ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
However, the trailer of ‘Befikre’ had received a mixed response and the audience was limited to the urban youth too.
When compared to the opening day collections of other films in 2016 – ‘Befikre’ is higher than Ajay Devgn’s Diwali release ‘Shivaay’, but lower than Varun Dhawan’s last release ‘Dishoom’.
It currently occupies the No 10 spot, but should go down to No 11 when ‘Dangal’ releases in theatres.

100% true bro. They blame mass audience, call us rikshawalas but in reality they are even dumber than rickshawalas.
We like masala movies but not any masala shit. We only appreciate good masala movies. We accepted Dabang and CE but rejected HNY and Bodyguard(It wasn’t liked by masses. It was blockbuster because of its record opening.). It is not even that we like only masala but any kind of movie with good entertainment value. 3 Idiots and PK both were housefull in my small town. Even Talash was housefull on first day but couldn’t sustain due to lack of entertainment.
But this multiplex audience is just out of my understanding ability. They can watch any film provided it has good production value and is promoted as urban film. Actually there is no genre called urban but any film with young actors, good production value and promoted as urban film is urban film. However shit and waste it may be.

Actually I made a mistake by watching it with family (parents and wife). I was fooled by ua certificate. Very embarrassing situation

yrf fooled family audience by obtaining ua certificate by censors. it was so embarras for family who was sitting behind me as kids was also along with them they lived theatre in interval.
