Filmmaker Siddharth Anand, who directed Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in ‘Bang Bang’ last year, is now gearing up for the sequel of the movie. The first film was a remake of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz starrer ‘Knight And Day’.
However, the sequel tentatively titled ‘Bang Bang 2’ will neither feature Hrithik nor Katrina.
Sources say, Siddharth wanted Hrithik for the sequel too, but the actor opted out due to his busy schedule - he is currently shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s period drama ‘Mohenjo Daro’.
The makers have now decided to make ‘Bang Bang 2’ with a fresh star cast.
They are currently scouting for the lead actor and A-list villain while Jacquline Fernandez, who was recently seen in Akshay Kumar’s Brothers, has been reportedly finalised to play the female lead.
Unlike the first film which was a remake, the sequel will have a fresh script and the plot won’t continue from where the first film ended.
The film will go on floors sometime next year.

If a Guilty Bhaijaan can make a sequel of a bhojpuri Film like Kick, Dabangg then what’s the problem to make Bang bang sequel when Bang bang was way better .
@Rohit sorry but I font completely agree with you on this part that Salman is biggest star in India. Because aamir holds top position since 2008. So it would be wrong to say that Salman is biggest star in India. Aamir and Salman bboth are equally big stars in India and in overseas and worldwide aamir is biggest star.
i am a huge salman fan.but there is no point in pulling down other stars. Now akki is giving four back to back 85cr+ films in a year.in 2017 akki will give four or five 100cr films back to back in a single year which is great. With sultan,salman will be the first to make ten centuries.only akki will break this record.aamir is also great as he creates record 3 times with his three films in five years. Ajay will make great come back with shivay. @e d x everyone knows e d x add 50-70cr extra.salman’s power has made eid a big festival. Aamir has made xmas the biggest period. Srk gave many superhits in diwali. But akki’s blue,aitraaz,garam masala came on diwali but none of them was superhits or blockbusters.his tees maar khan came in xmas in 2010 & collected less than 50cr after aamir’s 3idiots making over 200 in 2009.it is truth. @hrithik twmr is a sequel.every year many great scripts fail badly. Salman alone can collect 250cr in 2015 situation & wom has taken it to 320.bcz i dont think a great script with nawaz & harshali will collect more than 70cr.am i right,indicine?i think akki’s films b.o. Yea Salman was not in his best form from 2000-2009
Even Aamir was out for 5 years bcoz of personal reasons so SRK took the advantage and Dominated this decade along with HR and Akshay who also grew up
But as for as 1989-2000 is concerned, SRK was nothing in comparison to Salman

Its heart breaking to say that Rajshri Production who delivered all Blockbuster films even with a film with Shahid Kapoor has only one flop in their entire list Mai Prem Ki Deewani Hun.

Because MPK,Sajan,HAHK,PKTDK,Karan Arjun,Tere Naam,HSSH,Biwi No.1,MSK,Partner,Wanted etc etc etc all are released after 2010.
