Filmmaker Siddharth Anand, who directed Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in ‘Bang Bang’ last year, is now gearing up for the sequel of the movie. The first film was a remake of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz starrer ‘Knight And Day’.
However, the sequel tentatively titled ‘Bang Bang 2’ will neither feature Hrithik nor Katrina.
Sources say, Siddharth wanted Hrithik for the sequel too, but the actor opted out due to his busy schedule - he is currently shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s period drama ‘Mohenjo Daro’.
The makers have now decided to make ‘Bang Bang 2’ with a fresh star cast.
They are currently scouting for the lead actor and A-list villain while Jacquline Fernandez, who was recently seen in Akshay Kumar’s Brothers, has been reportedly finalised to play the female lead.
Unlike the first film which was a remake, the sequel will have a fresh script and the plot won’t continue from where the first film ended.
The film will go on floors sometime next year.

Don’t want Hrithik in any Fox or Sid film anymore. Bang Bang almost bombed if it was for Hrithik. Don’t want Hrithik to carry so much burden on his shoulder. He needs to chhose better scriptsn work with better directors.
BTW Bang Bang 2 sounds awkward without Hrithik. No idea what will happen to it. Good luck to Fox, Sid n Jacqueline.
Wow what a news but I would be more thrilled with the old cast, I loved bang bang one of the best action movie of Bollywood followed by don 2.
Bang bang2 sounds like a flop idea.yes bang bang was a hit and did outstandingly in my kolkata but it had got highly mixed wom.plus hro kat won’t feature in it

lifetime 10-30 cr: take Emraan as lead
lifetime 30-80 cr: take Akki as lead
lifetime 80-100 cr: take Sid/Varun/Ranveer
lifetime 100-150 cr: take Ajay/Hrithik/Ranbir as lead
lifetime 150-300 cr: take Salman/Aamir/SRK as lead
Bad news for Hrithikians, Now the new star cast will fully take the advantage of the 1st part, just like aamir took advantage of Dhoom 2 for his crap Dhoom3.
Hrithik is the best for Bang Bang series. Hrithik and kat saved the 1st part.

They will cast our overrated non actor Bhai in it n as the article says it will be fresh script so the movie will start with Bhai saying Bang Bang and firing bullets at a Black buck, then trying to escape on his SUV from police, killing innocent civilians walking on footpath in the process n the movie progresses that way. ? ?

Generally sequels are made for successful films and though bb was moderately successful it wasn’t as successful enough to come up with a sequel and whatever success the movie achieved it was mainly bcos of hrithik & kat and u want to make a sequel without both of them ???

I am huge Hrithik FAN although last few movies (Bang Bang and Krissh 3) has been average affairs, quality wise. Expecting high quality cinema with Mohen jo daro.
