Filmmaker Siddharth Anand, who directed Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in ‘Bang Bang’ last year, is now gearing up for the sequel of the movie. The first film was a remake of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz starrer ‘Knight And Day’.
However, the sequel tentatively titled ‘Bang Bang 2’ will neither feature Hrithik nor Katrina.
Sources say, Siddharth wanted Hrithik for the sequel too, but the actor opted out due to his busy schedule - he is currently shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s period drama ‘Mohenjo Daro’.
The makers have now decided to make ‘Bang Bang 2’ with a fresh star cast.
They are currently scouting for the lead actor and A-list villain while Jacquline Fernandez, who was recently seen in Akshay Kumar’s Brothers, has been reportedly finalised to play the female lead.
Unlike the first film which was a remake, the sequel will have a fresh script and the plot won’t continue from where the first film ended.
The film will go on floors sometime next year.

@Neersj and same way srk also took advantage of Big B’s don for his both crap remake and sequel don and don 2. He ruined both dons with his dabbachaap overacting. Dhoom 3 was much bigger grosser in India and overseas than Don 2 so jealousy from sarookh fans can be expected. However dhoom 3’s credit goes to aamir only for making it much bigger grosser and ATBB.
I think shahid kapoor is the best choice after hritik for bang bang2.
These filmmaker have gone mad. Instead of sequel they can go with new title even though there is no changes in script. Don’t surprise tomorrow there will be squel for joker, himmatwala etc. there is nothing special in bang bang to make this frenchisie It was fully copied of ett. Thank hritik has opted out.

Yes jadoo boy according to you dont need EDX or RDX or BMX to break records even though his biggest manipulated hit arrived on Diwali but he definitely needs his papas help. Its true- when his epic shivering returns during shooting then only papa can stop it. And when his films collection falls away then only Papas kalkulator can help revive his films kollections by some mysterious formula where gross figures are adjusted by adding taxes to it to give us the super NETT figures…!
Without jadoo boy film will now surely break the 170cr barrier n join the 200cr club. Hope Sid gets the lead role.

Bang bang type of film is made only for Hrithik….he alone pulled the film…..but you people are still lagging behind grow up peeps stop for typical masala films….show the world that bollywood can match hollywood types of film till when we will be going wiz these masala type film….hats off to those actors who dare taking up these kinda of role…..if no hrithik so no bang bang 2…..but I fink bang bang 2 need to geer up with a powerful action packed director like dhoom director or kabir khan….

Hrithik is certainly not doing Bang Bang 2, people. Trust me, he has better scripts to do. He’s already pulled off best action scenes ever seen in India with Bang Bang, he will not repeat it.

Seriously, dude. I believe Salman Khan is the biggest star in India today since Dabangg and I like him for his charity work and helping nature, but some of you seem to have very short memory. Sometimes, I wonder if you gloryhunting Salman fans were born after Dabangg 2010 as you don’t have any information about his career prior to that movie. Kind of like Chelsea fans in Football.
Never worry about Guzaarish’s box office numbers, I don’t expect you guys to notice the terrific work put on by SLB, Hrithik and Aish on it, it actually collected in crores, meanwhile Salman’s Marigold collected in lacs.
Bang bang iz one of the best action film of Bollywood with awesome action sequences …!
