Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan continues its dream run on its 5th morning at the domestic box office. The drop in the morning as compared to Monday, varies from 10-20%, but business is still phenomenal both at single-screens and multiplexes. The advance booking for the evening / night shows is also excellent.
While circuits like Delhi/UP and East Punjab are going recording incredibly high occupancies and collections, it’s the so-called ‘class’ circuits like Mysore and West Bengal, that are showing tremendous growth and embracing a film like Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Circuit records for Salman Khan films in these two circuits will be surpassed by a long margin.
Mumbai circuit started slow on Friday and Gujarat didn’t get a huge initial either. But the Monday business at cities like Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Valsad was higher than the opening day collections of the film.
Looking at the trends over the weekend and the record-breaking hold on Monday, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is certain to be Salman Khan’s biggest grosser, ahead of his last Eid release ‘KICK’.
The big question now is, if the film will surpass the records held by the 2nd highest grosser (Dhoom 3 – 285 crore) and the highest grosser of all time (PK – 340 crore). Both Aamir Khan starrers.
With Tuesday collections also estimated to come in the 20 crore plus range, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is looking at first week collections of 185 crore plus.
Also note that the entertainment tax in Delhi is set to increase from 20% to 40%. However, the film has been declared tax free in Uttar Pradesh.

- Total Collections - 129.65 crore
I predicted BB will be the highest grosser of the year and will do 275-300 crore in India. It turned out to be true!

The tremendous WOM is making families to turn up in huge numbers to watch BB in theaters something which even aamir & srk can’t even dream of, salman is the only superstar in India whose movies are watched from 6 year old to 60 years old, that’s why he is the most loved Indian superstar . (P.K, Dhoom 3, talaash & even 3 idiots were not the ideal movies to be watched by the entire family and Lol srk movies ko tho bhool hi jao but salman’s last movies like kick (if we ignore item song, few action scenes & that Jacqueline ka skirt scene & few others), jai ho (probably overdose of action ), ett (again action scenes & few scenes) were at least comparatively more family friendly than aamir movies & trillion times than srk’s crapfests .

Ooh, little angelic Harshali, I am speechless. She should win the best actress this year. Age should not bar her from winning it.
Other actors too have done superb jobs.
It is all about emotions, humor, love, romance actions and humanity. There is no single boring moment in the film. It has made us into tears and left us with Khushi Ki Aansoo at the end!
As of the BO, it should matter for a film like that like Aamir Khan. Yet I dare say that it will D3 records.
Yet to see if if it can break the records of total collections set by PK because Raju is a brand, it had many holidays and the controversies around the film have made people watch the film!

Bahubali could be the difference in the end 4 BB doing 325 n 300 .. wld atleast make a 25 cr difference at the end of the run mainly the opening n then the sourh business!! If not 4 bahubali definitely 200 cr week 1 was on for BB!! Simply brilliant!!
