Bajrangi Bhaijaan has become the highest grossing film of 2015 in just 5 days after its theatrical release. The collections of the film are unprecedented and the highest ever in the first 5-day period.
At the same stage, Dhoom 3 had collected Rs 149.46 crore, which was the previous highest in 5 days. In other words, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the only film to collect more than Rs 150 crore in 5 days, which is an average of more than Rs 30 crore per day! It’s also the fastest film to cross 150 crore.
Superlatives? We have just one left. Salman Khan.
One other thing, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a blockbuster. It should soon attain ‘All Time Blockbuster’ status.

Hey commentators notice Javed gone silent was trying to push people to boycott the film and then in one of his comments says he’ll watch on DVD. How hypocritical can you get, two sided mouth piece. Never judge a book by its cover is an old saying and still works in our world today.
Its amazing how every1 is now comparing collections with pk as if dhoom 3 record is a gonner now.. speaks volumes of BB this.. but pk as we all knw had a christmas break week starting with 2nd friday up2 new year day.. it collected 95cr+ In that week.. if BB can manage a 90 cr in second week it wld mean its the best loved movie in a while.. its really tough to do that thgh but BB is trending beyond practical expectations.. !!
@Rew1 , no bro I wasn’t trying to degrade aamir’s success & I will never do so, seems like u didn’t exactly get what I was trying to convey , read my earlier comment carefully , what I said was that salman’s movies like kick, jai ho & ett (with the exception of some action scenes , songs & few other scenes) were comparatively more family friendly than pk,d3 & 3 idiots and when I say ‘family/ies’ here it’s not just the educated , elite, class, rich & higher middle class families but also the literate, semi-literate & illiterate middle , lower middle & rural families.
Pk was dealing with the sensitive subject of religion & it had some adult scenes which weren’t perfectly suited for the entire & all types of families , 3 idiots had some comedy scenes & few other scenes especially the Mona’s delivery scene which weren’t comfortable for the entire family viewing , I am not saying that salman movies were all perfect family movies but I am just saying that literate & illiterate middle and lower middle class families would any day prefer watching salman’s movies over aamir’s unless if it is TZP or BB .
Having said that the educated higher middle class & rich elite families, literate urban families would on any given day prefer aamir’s movies over salman’s and also if we ignore or remove few scenes in pk & 3 idiots then they would become ideal movies for every type of families to watch , our country has more number of literate & illiterate middle class urban & semi urban families than the educated higher middle class families.
bro its a fact that most Indian families like to watch salman movies over other actors movies bcos his movies don’t contain kissing or adult scenes , do not have too much exposing scenes on screen , do not have too many double meaning stuff & except for item songs, action scenes & few other scenes are most ideal for families (especially middle & lower middle class families ) to watch, I hope u got my point.

i watched it yesterday in my small town in maharashtra with houseful occupancy . From movies starting to end i saw just mind blowing craze of fans … Whistling , claping , shouting and dancing in theater. . . Unbelievable. Its realy a heart touching film. Too much fun.. ATBB..

Looking at the current pace then 185cr first week total is possible but even 180cr is not too shabby imo. Second weekend holds the key then second week weekdays need to be strong too. Expecting the weekend to be around 55-60cr in order for second week to come in or around the 90cr mark. After that drishyam arrives but BB will still collect good moolah in third n fourth weeks so hopefully 300cr is crossed.

Time when changes you never know. To be fair to SRK from 2000-2008 he was numero uno. He still has lot of loyal fans. But from 2009 onward slowly and steadily the stardom of Salman Khan has increased to mammoth proportion. If Ready can be blockbuster and has done better business than all but two SRK films, it speaks stardom of SK. Ready was also not released in EID period and every critic had thrashed the movie. Give him the content then there is ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.
Speaking about Aamir, he is class apart. He does not come in the mad race. Same about Hrithik.
