Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan has become the 2nd highest grosser of all time, beating the previous record of Dhoom 3 in just 17 days after its release.
The Kabir Khan directed film showed outstanding growth in business, yet again on Saturday and Sunday. It’s the family audience that has sustained the business of the film for so long and that’s a massive achievement, because families only come out in big numbers if a film is carrying appreciation.
The film will cross the 300 crore mark this week and finish with net box office collections of around Rs 320 crore.

Its been a glorious run n long may it continue.
BB has shown how far a movie can run on content n that initial starpower but proved beyond doubt that not holidays but the right timing of holidays is important. A movie needs either a holiday release to get a boost of 50-75% in collections or holidays in first week like day 6 or 7 to boost its collections like PK, D3 and Crappy Express (7th day was Independence Day) got…!
That was the final difference as BB will most likely fall 20-25cr short of PK.
All eyes on PRDP now and when it releases on Diwali or post Diwali.

I have had so many emails from friends and family in Uk, USA, Canada who can’t stop praising and complimenting Salman Khan and team for one of the greatest Indian movies to come out of BW. They were so thrilled to be able to take their whole families, including grandma and grandpa to see the movie. They have all declared that they will never watch another Indian actor other than Salman as he has truly kept the culture, and kept his films clean not following others who appeared naked, etc
